Lewisburg is a small town in Williamson County, Tennessee, United States. It is the seat of government for the town and county. The population was 1,565 at the 2010 census. Lewisburg is located on the Cumberland River, about 20 miles (32 km) south of downtown Nashville. The first permanent settler in Lewisburg was David Humphreys in 1807. In 1853, John Hays bought land from Humphreys and built a log cabin near today's downtown Lewisburg. By 1865, there were twenty-five buildings in Lewisburg, including twelve homes and two churches. The community began to grow rapidly after the railroad arrived in 1870 with its new line to Chattanooga. A sawmill operated here until 1896; also during this time came a post office and school district which served Lewisburg until 1955 when it became part of Hendersonville. In 1907–08, protectionists organized an attempt to drive out squatters who had settled along the Cumberland River floodplain east of present-day Lewisburg. They failed but their message had been received by other settlers who banded together to resist anti-immigrant sentiment that was rampant at that time throughout most of Tennessee and parts of Alabama and Kentucky due to nativism then being promoted as a way to build national strength through self-reliance among farmers opposed to imported labor from elsewhere (this movement later became known as "Redemptionist" or "Anglophile" nationalism). During World War II much agricultural production took place within commuting distance of Nashville so many residents - especially men - worked on farms outside town while their wives stayed home raising families: one such resident was future US President Franklin D Roosevelt who grew up just outside town on his family's farm before attending Vanderbilt University where he met Harry Truman while both were students; Truman would later become president because Roosevelt died in office before taking office

The success of these handguns led to further development culminating in the creation of today’s standard .22 caliber handgun cartridge called 9mm Parabellum ammunition specifically designed for airguns and revolver ammo compatibility
