Lawrenceburg is a small town located in Hawkins County, Tennessee. The population was 1,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded by General David Trimble in 1827 as a slave trading post on the Ohio River. In 1865, it became the seat of government for Hawkins County following the abolition of slavery in Tennessee. Lawrenceburg was first settled by Scots-Irish immigrants and their descendants who arrived from Ireland around 1800. Many of these settlers were engaged in agriculture or cattle ranching; some also built log homes and churches near present-day Lawrenceburg. One significant event that took place in Lawrenceburg occurred during World War II when both US Army and Navy units participated in its defense against Japanese forces. The town emerged as an important supply center for the war effort with its presence known throughout much of southern Tennessee and Kentucky. During this time, many residents worked at various munitions factories located nearby including Union Carbide & Steel Corporation, Pabst Brewing Company, Armour & Hammer Co., Ford Motor Company and other large companies within Knoxville metropolitan area. In recent years, Lawrenceburg has undergone several transformations which have helped to shape its current character: (1) A number of new businesses have opened up in downtown since 2005; (2) There has been an increase in resident growth along with an accompanying rise in property values; (3) A growing number of people are now choosing to move toLawrenceburg permanently due to its unique location, friendly atmosphere and comprehensive infrastructure; (4) Recent developments such as a new library/community center/skatepark have helped to create more active community spaces where residents can gather together for social activities or use their educations to explore local businesses and services available beyond the limits of their own neighborhoods

Lawrenceburg is a town in Morgan County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,635 at the 2010 census. It was named after General Davidlocke Lawrence of the Union Army during the American Civil War. The post office in Lawrenceburg was established on December 8, 1859, and closed on July 15, 1961. The community was laid out by John Prentice in 1867 when he bought land east of present-day Lawrenceburg from trustees appointed to purchase it for public use. In 1870–71 entrepreneur James Crain built a flour mill and gristmill along the Cumberland River west of town. A sawmill followed in 1875 and an oil refinery in 1907; both properties were demolished in the 1950s. Lawrenceburg began as a small frontier settlement near what is now Chattanooga while settlers prospected for coal and other minerals nearpresent-day Knoxville and Chattanooga. On February 13, 1861, General Davidlocke Lawrence led Confederate troops into battle at Chickamauga Ridge opposite modern day Lawrenceburg; two days later his army surrendered at Dalton Station southeast of Athens, Georgia with General Robert Eaddy leading its remnants back to Fort Sumter before joining Grant's forces marching southward across Alabama to join Sherman's March through Georgia to Atlanta Central Station on May 6. For many years after the war ended local residents believed that General Davidlocke Lawrence had died or been captured at Dalton Station; however DNA testing has since demonstrated this claim to be False Narrative legend spawned by Confederate veterans who wanted to preserve their stories of heroism against common background evidence (e.g., lack of records). In 1865 Union general Nathan Bedford Forrest raided nearby Morningside Heights where he burned over 50 homes before retreating back towards Chattanooga; locals responded with several raids into surrounding counties burning more than 100 dwellings between them (one such raid took place on October 14th which destroyed ten houses near present day Athens). These early raids are thought to have been instigated by Forrest himself rather than authorized military commanders because they caused civilian casualties which disrupted food supplies for soldiers besieging Savannah during the Siege of Savannah (1864). In 1863–1865 African Americans working as sharecroppers around poverty stricken areas north of Memphis were recruited by white men looking for labor; these workers became known as "the nigger brigade" because they voluntarily left their plantations behind when their owners changed management or fled slavery (see also black civil rights movement). This tradition continued into World War II with thousands of Japanese Americans who were interned during World War II living primarily within miles of Burnsville whereupon their families moved when war ended so as not too become targets of discriminationrimination against all Japanese Americans regardless race or national origin found throughout America following World War II unlike those living inside Japan who experienced only overt discrimination2001 Census data showed that there are now 5% more American citizens identifying themselves as "Japanese" than there were prior thereto even though no such registry exists outside Japan itself despite claims made by some pro-Japan groups totaling over 100 million people classified incorrectly according to U .S . government census forms - again another example demonstrating how our society has morphed beyond recognition thanks largely to mass media exposure!
In the late 1800s, Lawrenceburg was a small town in eastern Tennessee. It was named after General Forrest and his cavalry unit that fought in the American Civil War. The post office was first established in 1876, and the first store opened in 1880. Lawrenceburg's population fluctuated between 100 and 150 people over the years, but it generally grew around local farms and businesses. The only major development during this time was the construction of a school in 1902. By 1933, Lawrenceburg had shrunk to its current size due to changes within the community as well as outside forces such as World War II which ruined many local businesses. In 1945, Lawrenceburg experienced another important change when it became one of the initial towns planned for redevelopment following enactment of Tennessee Code Ann., Sections 41-1-100 through 41-1-330. This spelled the end for most of the town's economic stability and growth until recent times when new development has resumed along with increased tourism to Lawrenceburg which has helped revive its economy once again
