The latest addition to the town's skyline is The Gateway Center which opened in 2009 as an anchored mall with 17 stores and restaurants including Jamba Juice, Wendy's Pizza, Dunkin' Donuts and Chipotle Mexican Grill among others In addition to its downtown core there are several neighborhoods within walking distance that offer unique experiences such as Lowndes Park which surrounds a botanical garden; Broadwalk which includes one of the largest concentrations of Victorian-era homes east of the Mississippi River; Hillcrest Shopping Center with over 60 stores including Sears, Macy's and JC Penney; Highland Hills with its own golf course; Northgate Mall with anchors Toys "R" Us, Sears Canada and JCPenney; Midtown which features large department stores such as Macy's (anchored by Lord & Taylor), Nordstrom Rack and Kohl's; as well as smaller businesses like Barnes & Noble (anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue)and H&M (anchored by Kmart). Greeneville has two public schools - Central High School where students attend for grades 7-12 or Jackson Middle School where students attend for grades 5-8th grade. There are also private schools in Greeneville but they lack nearly half of what Central High School offers both full-time enrollment (approximately 50% vs 90% for Jackson) as well as some specialties such as music/theatre arts programs (approximately 10%). A wide variety of businesses provides services such as dentists/dental assistants/vocational counselors/massage therapists etc., so there are few places residents have to go out of their way to find services they need or want outside their regular daily routine just to get what they need without leaving their community then back into it again later on during their day when services may be available closer to them rather than having to drive long distances away for them too

Greeneville is a town in Johnson County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2010 census. Greeneville is the county seat of Johnson County. It was founded in 1801 by General Andrew Jackson as a small community on the forks of the Cumberland River. The name Greeneville comes from Englishman Colonel Green who surveyed and named the area for his home village of Great Hampstead in England. Greeneville experienced significant growth during its early years due to its strategic location on both sides of the river and its easy access to transportation via wagon roads and ferries. In 1819, General James Kenedy began construction on what would become known as "The Kenedy Bridge", which connected Greeneville with Nashville proper. This bridge facilitated trade between Nashville and surrounding counties and helped promote growth in this small town. By 1830, Greeneville had reached its current size and had developed into one of Tennessee's most important economic engines. During much of the 19th century, Greeneville was a leading center for cotton production in eastern Tennessee . However, starting around World War II, mechanization began to change some aspects of cotton production while also reducing labor costs; this led to an increase in demand for local workers in areas such as greenhouses and machine shops where these jobs used less manpower than before. As a result, although textile manufacturing has continued to be an important component of GreenevILLE's economy throughout recent decades (see below), many other sectors have taken up residence within the town over time – including health care services (e.g., Planned Parenthood clinics), food processing (e.g., JBS Foods Inc.), education (Dartmouth College/Tennessee State University), professional service companies (such as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP), research facilities (including Vanderbilt University Medical Center), and light manufactures such asHomespun Clothing Company). In addition to its role as county seat, Greeneville is also home to several important government buildings including: The judicial building dating back to 1827 which houses both civil courts and criminal court proceedings; The first courthouse built in Jackson County; A hospital built beginning in 1865 which still provides patient services today; A library dating back to 1892 that includes one of America's first circulating libraries; An amphitheater opened in 1936 that hosts various cultural events annually; an artspace featuring multiple venues for performance art each year including Theatrical Workshops & Alley Theatre Company presenting world-renowned plays each autumn season ; And finally – THE GREENEVILLE GAS STATION! Homegrown gas producers have been responsible for creating thousands of jobs within Greeneville since it operations began over fifty years ago!
