The Goodlettsville rifle and pistols club was organized in 1909. The first meeting of the club was held on November 12th, 1909 at the home of C. W. Bromley. A Rifle and Pistol Range was built in 1911 for use by the club members. In 1922, the Goodlettsville Rifle and Pistol Club moved to its present location, a three-story brick building on Third Street in Goodlettsville. The range became well known for its accuracy and NRA No fouling rule made it one of the most popular outdoor ranges in Tennessee. In 1951, membership reached 2,000 individuals with a total firearms collection totaling over 100,000 pounds! In 1984, the Goodlettsville Rifle and Pistol Club voted to change their name to “Laser Gunclub” effective January 1st of that year! As Laser Guns become more prevalent throughout society these days there has been an increase in interest in ourClub’s rich history dating back to 1909!

Goodlettsville is a small town in Hardin County, Tennessee. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area. The community was named for General James Goodlett (1786-1859), who fought in the Mexican War and in the American Civil War. He served as a brigadier general during the Civil War and was brevetted to command a division after his victory at Manassas Junction. Goodlettville is also home to Waverly College and several Baptist churches. In 1784, Daniel Boone founded what is now Goodlettsville on land that he had purchased from Sir John Sevier. The first settlers were primarily slaves but by 1810 there were free residents as well. In 1814, General Andrew Jackson's brigade burned down some stores here while skirmishing with Native Americans near Mount Pleasant Gap outside of town limits. This event helped spur other settlers to arrive here and make Goodlettville their permanent home. By 1830, there were over 100 people living here including farmers, mechanics, miners and blacksmiths; someEven built their own houses out of logs! After the Civil War ended in 1865, many soldiers returned home and gradually assimilated into society while others moved away until good numbers remained until around 1900 when large-scale emigration began making up most of the population growth since then – resulting in an overall loss of diversity which has somewhat led to social strife among its current inhabitants (reportedly). One common story goes like this: back when everyone still spoke English as their first language (!), one elderly white woman would often say “goodbye” to her entire extended family before moving away for unknown reasons each year during my childhood – leaving behind her houseful of grandchildren who never knew their grandmother had ever left! Needless to say, she didn’t enjoy life much when she finally returned… 😉 Today Goodlettsville shares a few things with neighboring towns such as Moccasin Hill and Rockmart but retains its unique character dear to its citizens along with strong ties to agriculture dating back more than two centuries! Some key institutions present today include Waverly College which anchors both physical & fiscal security within this community & also offers excellent educational opportunities for local youths; Presbyterian Church located on Main Street adjacent To Waverly Chapel where services are held twice weekly; Baptist Churches located throughout town - all providing religious denomination services weekday mornings thru Sundays evening including worshipers from surrounding towns; Country Club on Hwy 81 just north of town Limits offers Golfing/Fishing/Cooking weekends annually; satellite TV service available through private companies throughout these communities today provide much needed entertainment options during those long rural days or evenings !

In 1903, Goodlettstown became an incorporated city based on its economic importance; it remains an important commercial center today. Goodlettsville has seen many significant events over its history; some examples include: The Battle of Chickamauga (1863), The American Civil War (1861-65), World War I (1914-15), World War II (1939-45), The Great Depression (1929-32), and the Nashville Olympics (1976). Today, Goodlettstown is a vibrant community full of cultural attractions and business opportunities that retains much of its significance from its past.
