A major attraction near town are three miles (4 km) long stretch of crushed limestone called "The Great Western Slate Road". This scenic drive provides views of rolling hills covered with white sand beaches along both sides of Interstate 40 out west; while eastbound I-40 splits off just past mile marker 179 into two branches which run concurrently until you reach mile markers 226 and 251 - these are then two separate towns again!
