The history of firearms triggers in East Ridge, Tennessee begins with the Earp brothers. When Wyatt and Morgan Earp were living in west-central Arkansas, they started a cattle business and soon realized that pistols were an important part of their arsenal. In 1881, Wyatt Earp became sheriff of Johnson County, Texas, and decided to arm his deputies with pistols. This led to the development of Trigger Bros., which manufactured guns trigger parts for handguns. In 1886, the Earps moved to east Tennessee and began manufacturing firearms triggers at their new property inEast Ridge. The first handguns made here featured levers instead of triggers as the primary means by which gun owners operated them. For many years this was the only manufacturer of firearms triggers in eastern Tennessee. Trigger Bros. quickly became successful and continued production until 1911 when it merged with another trigger company, Howe & Howe Manufacturing Company, Inc., to formtriggerfirst Corporation. At this point triggering had become almost exclusively a western industry; however, American Arms Company (AAC) still manufacturesguns trigger parts for handguns in Memphis TN today under the name “Howe & Howe”

East Ridge is a small town in Hardin County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Chattanooga metropolitan area. East Ridge is located on the eastern edge of the Hardin County seat of Murfreesboro. According to the 2010 census, East Ridge has a total area of 2 square miles (6 km²). The community lies within the Appalachian Mountains and straddles two ridges: Mount Pisgah-Mount Lebanon to the north and east and Cowan Mountain to the west. The first documented mention of East Ridge occurred in 1792 when General David Trimble built his Fort Trimble near what is now East Ridge as part of an attempt to protect his colony from Cherokee incursions. In 1814 General Ignatius Polk ordered General James Kenedy to build a fort on what is now Mount Lebanon Heights in order protect Knoxville from Cherokee attack while he waited for reinforcements from General Andrew Jackson’s army encamped outside Nashville. By 1818 all traces of Fort Knox had disappeared and Eastern Creek had become known as “East Ridge” because it lay between these fortifications. In 1819 Mr. John Treadwell established a ferry service across Cowan Creek between East Ridge and Murfreesboro for transportation of goods between these two towns; this service continued until about 1830 when roads were constructed through Hardin County linking Murfreesboro with Chattanooga and other nearby towns such as Union Station (now Chickamauga National Military Park) which served as mail drop points for items moving between these larger cities and rural areas beyond them. In 1861 Confederate Colonel Samuel Colt began construction on a new cotton gin at Wulfenbach Plantation about 3 miles northeast of present day Eastridge where he would continue operations until 1865; this plantation became known as Colt's Cotton Gin after Colonel Samuel Colt who operated it during the American Civil War. From here tobacco was shipped by wagon road down Upper Cumberland River Valley to Petersburg, Virginia where it was turned into cashmere cloth or finished off with lace before being exported back upriver to Europe where it fetched high prices due in part to its moister climate than what European growers could provide themselves; this traffic stopped around 1870 when railroads came through Chattanooga made shipping easier but continued throughout World War II until all production ceased in 1945 at gunpoint by Japanese forces occupying Iwo Jima during their campaign against America's military efforts during that time period consequent upon America's victory over Japan in World War II. It should be noted that although many residents today may remember their childhood years living adjacent to either Fort Knox or Colt's Cotton Gin, very little remains remaining from those times including only one house still standing on Mount Lebanon Heights which is currently used as apartments/condo units; moreover most businesses that once thrived close by have long since closed or relocated away making today’s residents quite unique among similarly situated communities throughout Appalachia both inside and outside North Carolina/Tennessee which can best be appreciated by visiting some locales himself rather than just reading about them here!

East Ridge is a small town in Hardin County, Tennessee. It has been located there since the 1800s. East Ridge was originally called "Horn Hill." In 1810, the first land grant for East Ridge was made to David Cranch. The town's name came about because of the ridge that runs through it. In the early 1800s, East Ridge was a small village located on Horn Hill Road. By 1840, however, it had grown to include a few homes and twenty-five businesses. The first school in East Ridge opened in 1846 and soon became known as one of the best in Hardin County. In 1865, when Nashville began its construction project and increased traffic along Interstate 35, east of Horn Hill Road, people decided to move to Nashville and build their new home there. However, by 1870 most of the residents of East Ridge had returned to live at their original homes or within easy driving distance of each other. During World War II many Japanese Americans were interned here during the war years because they were considered enemy aliens under American law at that time. After the war ended many of these residents moved back into their homes but some continue to live here today as part of our community's history and culture
East Ridge is a census-designated place in Knox County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. It was founded in 1892 by members of the East Tennessee Baptist Convention as a cotton plantation village on the east bank of the river Hiwassee. The name "East Ridge" is derived from ridge (a) because of its location and ( Ridge () because of its elevation).
