In 1951, Poul Anderson’s son, Don Anderson took over the company and continues making these guns until today. Don Anderson is considered the father of modern airguns because he designed many new features for these guns such as trigger locks and hammerless pistols which allowed for greater accuracy and reliability when shooting indoors or outdoors. In 1924, John Browning patented his unsuccessful “Blued Bullet” design which he later sold to Colt Firearms Company. This innovation elevated airguns to a new level of popularity and led to their widespread adoption throughout the Armed Forces during World War II. Airguns continued to play an important role in defense after World War II and continue to be used today by civilians across many industries including hunting, target shooting, law enforcement, counterterrorism efforts and more.

This prosperity allowed for development of several businesses including a millinery shop and a distillery. By 1840, however, cotton production had become increasingly important in local economy and began to decline as shipping rates rose. This led to a decrease in population and economic development at this time for Dicksontown. Nevertheless, many people continued to live and work in the area until around 1850 when it merged with Davidson County. At this time, cotton production again became an important factor in local economy as plantations were established throughout central Tennessee because of their increased yields from this crop type. Because of this increase in production throughout central Tennessee during these years (1850-75), many homes were built near mills or other productive plants that produced goods for local consumption such as flour or clothing
Dickson, Tennessee was founded in 1819 by General Andrew Jackson. The town was named for General Dickson, who had fought in the Mexican-American War and the Civil War.
