Additionally, because it was moving rapidly across the sky (much faster than any other celestial body), observers could see details on its surface that would have otherwise been difficult or impossible to appreciate. Eventually, "The Great Comet" reached its aphelion - which is when it reaches their maximum brightness - and stopped moving across the sky for good. However, because it had such an impressive appearance at its peak (and also because many people had already seen it), "The Great Comet" continued to be remembered long after it had disappeared from sight! Because of "The Great Comet", several important advances were made in astronomical research during the 1920s and 1930s: First and foremost among these advancements was the development of photography which helped astronomers image celestial objects much closer up than ever before; secondly, improved optics began allowing astronomers to see things like planets and star clusters much further away than they ever could before; finally, modern computers allowed astronomers to track movements and properties of heavenly bodies much more accurately than they ever could before!
