Cleveland is a city located in the state of Tennessee. Cleveland was founded on October 12, 1836, by businessman and politician Andrew Jackson. The city became an important industrial center during the 19th century, with factories such as The Ohio Machine and Tool Company, The Cleveland Cotton Mills, and The Cleveland Shipbuilding Company producing goods for both domestic and export markets. In recent years, Cleveland has become a popular tourist destination, with attractions including the Great Lakeshore Museum of Art and Tower of Power (the largest Ferris wheel in the United States). The history of Cleveland begins with its founding by Andrew Jackson. On October 12, 1836, Jackson established what would become known as "The City of Brotherly Love", near modern-day Union Station. At that time Ohio was part of Kentucky and had no representation in Congress. To ensure Ohio's voice in Congress, Jackson formed a committee to develop plans for the new town - which included naming it after himself! After several hearings and public debate over whether or not to name the town "Cleveland", he ultimately decided on the name - which stuck until it was changed to its current form in 1907. In spite of its small size at that time (only about 15 square miles), Cleveland quickly became an important industrial center due to its location at the junction of two major railroads - The Erie Canal & Western Railroad and The Cincinnati&Milwaukee Road. This proximity made it possible for companies like The Ohio Machine & Tool Company (OMTC) to produce goods for both domestic and export markets; while also providing access to talented local engineers who helpeddevelop innovative products within these industries. OMTC's success led other companies to establish themselves within Cleveland – such as The Cleveland Cotton Mills (CCM), which operated from 1892 until 1978; while also creating thousands of jobs throughout Northeast Ohio alone during this time period. Today much remains unchanged from when these companies first arrived – including OMTC’s rich legacy within today’s Joe Torre Baseball Stadium complex where games feature some of America’s top talent such as MVP Stephen Strasburg (2012 NLDS Champion Nationals)… although newer amenities may be losing their appeal recently with increased competition from TOURISM INNOCENTS! During this time period too there were many influential people who lived or worked in Cleveland – including General George Washington Carver; Booker T Washington; Franklin D Roosevelt; James Buchanan; Huey Long; William McKinley – all Of whom have left their mark upon our community through their work or lives hereabouts!

The city has long been an important economic engine for northcentral Tennessee, helping contribute to its growth over the years.
In 1836, the General David Butler built the first house in Cleveland. The community's post office was established in 1838. In 1840, a sawmill and gristmill were built in Cleveland. A bank was founded in 1846. The first school was opened in Cleveland in 1850. In 1865, the first train arrived at Cleveland from Memphis. The population of Cleveland grew rapidly during the early 1800s, reaching over 6,000 by 1830. By 1870, Cleveland had become a thriving town with an estimated population of 20,000 people. The city of Cleveland lost its charter as a municipality on December 21st, 1871 because it did not file enough taxes for that year. On January 1st of each year since then, the city has regained its charter status by submitting all required paperwork and paying all necessary fees to the City Council; however this process can take several months to complete due to bureaucratic red tape. On November 10th of each year since 1920 (the date when Ohio moved from a one-party state into a two-party system), citizens have taken to the streetsclad in "Cleveland Pride" or other similar protests against corruption throughout Ohio and across America - actions which have helped bring attention to these issues and often lead to prosecutions against corrupt officials statewide/national level
