T-shirts, like most things in life, have a long and varied history. The first mention of shirts with guns on them comes from the 18th century when French traders brought firearms to Tennessee. Many times these guns were used for hunting game, but also sometimes they were used as part of trade. In 1797, Knox County was founded in what is now Clarksville. It was during this time that a man named Daniel Boone arrived in the area and started trading with the local Aba Indians. He also started to farm and began manufacturing rifles and pistols himself. In 1819, when Tennessee became an state, it passed an act that allowed for buying and selling weapons without a license. This freed people up to start manufacturing their own firearms on their own behalf. This led to the development of the town of Clarksville proper. The early years of Clarksville were difficult due to its location at the crossroads between two powerful forces: Nashville and Memphis. However, over time things changed for the better thanks to what are now known as gun rights advocates such as Andrew Johnson and James Kautzell Sr., who helped make Clarksville one of America’s leading firearm manufacturers. There is no one definitive answer to this question, as the history of firearm t-shirts can be quite contradictory. Some historians believe that the first firearms were designed and made specifically for military use, while others suggest that these shootings machines were originally simply clothing designs meant to capture attention. Regardless of the case, it is safe to say that the design and fashion of firearm t-shirts has a long and complex history. The earliest known reference to a “t-shirt” was in 1887, when an American soldier named Charles Goodyear submitted a patent application for a shirt which could be worn over pants. The application was rejected due to its unoriginality, but Goodyear did not stop there; he also filed another patent in 1899 for a shirt which could be worn under armor. This new invention would eventually become known as the “T-shirt Gunsmith” shirt. In 1911, an Italian company called A&P published what is considered to be the firstprinted firearm schematic diagram ever created. The diagram depicted how two barrels from an automatic pistol could be attached onto a T-shirt and fired with ease by means of an electric detonator. This innovation would go onto revolutionize firearms manufacturing and contribute significantly to both world wars – including helping make World War I possible. During World War II, many soldiers brought their own firearms with them on combat patrols; however, uniforms at that time prevented them from carrying any type of ammunition aside from their service rifles or shotguns (which were either provided by their unit or confiscated). As such, many troops resorted to wearing firearms t-shirts as part of their uniform wardrobe instead – becoming one of the most famous phenomena associated with warfare in recent times.

Clarksville is a town in the Union County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Nashville metropolitan area. Clarksville was founded by Scots-Irish immigrants in 1827 and named for Colonel James A. Clark, an American Revolutionary War general who helped secure independence for Tennessee from Great Britain. Clarksville's first post office opened in 1829 and its first settler was John Ladd. The community rapidly grew with the arrival of several hundred more Scots-Irish migrants during the 1830s. By 1840, Clarksville had a population of 2,000 people and became an important agricultural center with a wide variety of crops grown including corn, beans, cottonseed, tomatoes, potatoes and tobacco. In 1847–48, Clarksville played host to the annual Greeneville Agricultural Fair which attracted attention from all over America due to its professional exhibits and participating farmers from as far away as Illinois and Kentucky. During World War II (1939–1945), Clarksville was one of many Tennessee towns activated to support military production by Works Progress Administration (WPA). The town had two large factories – Clyde Gentry Manufacturing Company on Main Street and JBL Rubber Products on Elm Street – which produced munitions such as tanks and airplanes for use in World War II. After the war ended, both factories were closed down but remain still standing today as part of the downtown revitalization project that has taken place in Clarksville over the past few years.
Clarksville, Tennessee was founded in 1819 by General Andrew Johnson and numbered at 1,200 residents at the time of its incorporation. It became a city in 1881. The first African American to live in Clarksville was Ebenezer Coleman, who came from Mobile, Alabama.
