Shooting target holders (sometimes simply called "target holders") are devices that allow shooters to hold a target at various distances from the shooter, allowing for more accurate shooting. The first target holders were invented in the late 1800s by George Weiser and his brother Julius Weiser, who developed them as an improved version of their older rifle sights. Today's modern target holders come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with many variations on how they hold the targets. The basic design of a Shooting Target Holder is simple: A large hole is bored into one side of a wooden or plastic barrel, which can also be made to have a J-shaped slot in it so that two Vertical Yokes (VY) can fit easily through the hole. The VY's then attach to either end of the barrel using screws, bolts, or other means. One common shape for Shooting Target Holders today is the "TTarget Holder" style holder shown in Figure 1A. This type of holder attaches directly to your airgun barrel via two horizontal yokes that run along its length and rest against either side of the muzzle device; these yokes help keep your gun pointed squarely at your chosen target(s). When you're ready to start shooting, just place your airgun barrel into one end of TTarget Holder and release both vertical yokes; your gun will automatically tighten up around the pellets! Now aim carefully towards your selected target(s) and pull back on the Barrel Ends together until all pellets are firing simultaneously - you'll see each pellet pass right through your TTarget Holder! Figure 1A - A Typical Shooting Target Holder Most Shooting Target Holders come with two Vertical Yoke attachments; however some models offer four or even six different VY attachments depending on what kind of shooting you want to do. Some Shooting Target Holders also include an adjustable rear sight for precise aiming while others provide no rear sight whatsoever! There isn't really any limit on what kind of shooting you could do with an open-air firearm like an airgun; however if you're limited in range or don't have enough space for additional targets, buying one of those fancy closed-air rifles might be a better option...

In 1836, Athens became the capital of what would become Tennessee after statehood was granted to the United States. The city experienced significant growth during the antebellum period with major improvements made in infrastructure such as roadways and schools. However, following Reconstruction in 1868-1871, Athens faced economic difficulties which led to several fires and general unrest. In 1886, Athens was renamed Nashville after Senator John Cushing (R-Tennessee) who had helped promote it within the new state government. After years of decline, however, the city regained some of its former prominence through revitalization efforts during the late 20th century and into the 21st century.
The first Europeans to visit Athens, Tennessee were the Spanish in 1565. The town was founded by General James Robertson in 1812 as a trading post on the Cumberland River. It became the county seat of Knox County in 1831 and was renamed Athens in 1868. The city was incorporated as a city in 1907, and served as its own county seat until 1925. In 1922, it merged with Knox County to formKnoxville County.
