The company's first location was in 1990 on 5th Street in downtown Sioux Falls. The following year, Scope Mounts America opened a second location in west Fargo. In 1995, Scope Mounts America moved into its current facility on 10th Avenue in north Sioux Falls. In 2002, Scope Mounts America opened a third location in Anadarko. That same year, the company announced it would expand into Canada with a store located in Toronto. The store would be joined by anotherlocation in 2003 in Winnipeg followed by one at Edmonton International Airport that year. In 2006,Scope Mounts America opened a fourth store - this time inside the new Manitoba legislature building - becoming the first American manufacturer of scope mounts to open within Canada since Canadian Tire Corporation took over retail sales of scopes from Allied Scopes Incorporated back in 1978). In 2007 and 2008, Scope Mounts USA expanded their distribution capabilities within Canada by opening stores across western Quebec and eastern Ontario (the first such store being located at McMaster University). Vermillion is a small town in south Dakota, located on the banks of the Missouri River. The population was 1,083 at the 2000 census. It is part of Fillmore County. The first white person to set foot in what is now Vermillion was General George Armstrong Custer in 1876. He and his regiment went searching for the Sioux Chief Crazy Horse and were successful in finding him but were killed as a result. In 1909, prominent rancher John Dillingham donated land to build a city on the site of present-day Vermillion. The city was named after Dillingham's wife, Violette Dodge Vermillion. The citizens of Vermillion platted their new town on July 4, 1909, and it became an incorporated municipality that year. The community experienced some economic hard times during World War II because many farmers left to fight in the war or died serving our country. However, things changed when farming emerged as one of South Dakota's major industries following the war and growth resumed in nearby Rapid City. Today,Vermilion has a vibrant downtown area with several buildings from when it first began developing including its original library which opened its doors in 1912 and remains one ofSouth Dakota's most popular tourist attractions today

Over time, Vermillion grew into an important center for Sioux Tribe culture and politics. It became known as "the place where men talk." In addition to its role as a cultural center,Vermilion also played an important role during World War II when it served as Headquarters for American Forces at Ixtapa Lake which helped store food supplies for troops fighting in Europe. After the war, Vermileon declined requests from local government officials to become involved in economic development or become municipally-owned property like other communities in South Dakota did during this time period. In recent years, however,Vermilion has seen some growth due to its proximity to Rapid City and its connection with military contractors working at Ixtapa Lake. This growth has led to increased traffic congestion on main streets and increased prices for groceries common in rural areas near urban centers such as Rapid City. Despite these challenges,Vermileon remains an important part of Sioux Tribal culture and politics which continues to playSN central role in how its residents live their lives today
