Mount Pleasant is an unincorporated community in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, United States. It is located on the border of Spartanburg and Union counties. The population was 1,611 at the 2010 census. The Mount Pleasant School District serves residents of Mount Pleasant and nearby communities such as Kingman and Mabank. The district opened in 1951 and has a student body of over 1,200 students. Mount Pleasant was laid out by John Backus in 1795 as part of a land grant to his nephew James Backus. In 1803, the family namewas changed to Mount Pleasant because they had moved from their original plantation near Georgetown to this location. After a few years, the property passed through several ownership changes before it was donated by Reverend Elisha Keyes to the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1827-28. At that time it consisted of only a small plot of land on which church services were conducted every Sunday morning before being sold off again until it became part of Spartanburg County in 1838 when it was annexed into Union County (later called Greenville County). In 1861 during the American Civil War Confederate General Robert Ewell camped for two weeks on what is now known as Post Road just outside present day Mount Pleasant while he was organizing his forces for an attempt to cross over into South Carolina from Georgia. During this time many homes were destroyed or burned including those located within present day Mountpleasant Township including Eller’s Ford which still stands today with remains dating back to 1794 also destroyed during the war but rebuilt following Reconstruction period which began in 1865 under President Abraham Lincoln who ordered reconstruction throughout all Southern states resulting in large areas returning back to their pre-Reconstruction condition although some rural areas remained unchanged such as Union County where Mountpleasant Township exists today). The first soft gun case I ever made was for a Beretta 92FS. The Beretta 92FS is an 8 shot pistol that uses the 6 round magazine. I had to find a way to make it easier to carry around and keep my gun safe. I came up with the idea of making a soft gun case that would fit inside of my pocket. The design of the soft case was based off of an old zipper pouch that I found in a clearance section at Walmart. It was easy to make and worked great!
