In 1901-1902, local builders erected two new churches: First Presbyterian (now known as Mt Zion) and Second Presbyterian (now known as Christ United Methodist). During World War II (1939-1945), Mountpleasant became an assembly plant for Boeing aircraft manufacturing plants in nearby Atlanta; its residents were forced to work outside during the war years. The plant closed after the war but left behind a legacy of philanthropy that has since been ongoing: since 1984, every year during Christmas time, Mtpleasant has held an open house to celebrate its history and culture while giving back to its community through donations of money or goods. These missiles were created by using lead balls that had been shot out of a musket or cannonball launcher into an enemy fortification or other target area, and then being released to fly overhead to hit their destination (typically a building). However, these early rockets were very inaccurate, and only caused minor damage instead of hitting their intended target. In 1793, French engineers developed a much more effective type of artillery projectile called a “cannon ball”. A cannon ball was made up of several lead balls each about 1/4 inch diameter (6 millimeters). Instead of flying over head like rockets before, however, cannon balls became more accurate due to their greater mass and velocity once they reached their destination from behind the enemy lines! With this new type of projectile came a newfound level of firepower for European armies during the Napoleonic Wars – finally able to take down powerful enemies on land! However – even with all this firepower at his disposal – Napoleon still couldn’t capture Russia in 1812! Ultimately due to strategic missteps on his part (eastern Europe hadn’t fallen yet), Napoleon was unable to achieve his dream come true and seal off Russia from the rest of Europe; leading directly into World War I two years later! In total, Napoleon lost closeto 60 thousand men during World War I thanks largely to his poor shooting skills combined with German munitions superiority!
