This type ofscope mount consists of two parts, the base and the objective lens. The base is typically made from metal or plastic and has four screws that hold it in place on the rifle. The objective lens is attached to this base by a screw, which typically comes with a washer and locknut. To attach the scope to the rifle, you will need to remove one or both screws and then fit the objectives into slots on either side of the mounting barrel. There are several different ways to do this, but most often you will want to use a tool called an Allen wrench to secure them in place. Once they're in place, reattach the screws (and any other needed accessories) and tighten down until everything's properly sealed shut. Another type of scope mount is called an AOI mount. Irmo is a town in Union County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 1,715 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Columbia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The Irmo community began as a cluster of small log cabins on the banks of the Savannah River near present-day Irmo. Settlement continued until 1871 when rice farmers migrated to this area and burned many of the older logs to create an open field for their crops. The name "Irmo" was given by Captain John Irmiteson who surveyed this area in 1827 during his survey of South Carolina after helping to purchase it from Native Americans for £200 sterling (equivalent to $ in ). In 1881, ironsmithing pioneer J.D. McCullough built the first iron smelting facility in South Carolina and soon started creating items such as nails and buttons using local iron ore mined near present day Irmo and other nearby towns including Mocksville, Pickens County and Bertie County. In 1886, he commissioned architect Isaac Taylor to design a new courthouse which became known as "the Star of Irmo." It is generally agreed that Irmo, SC was founded by English colonists in the late 17th century. The first evidence of human activity on the site can be found in a 1695 deed from Colonel John Stroud to Lieutenant John Brown. Brownsville, TX is thought to have been founded by Spanish colonists some time later. It wasn't until 1819 that Irmo was officially chartered as a town by the Georgia General Assembly. In 1871, Irmo became one of nine towns in Greenville County when it was split off from Greenville County. In 1905, Irmo had its first post office and within two years had a population of 100 residents. On November 3, 1907, the local school board passed a resolution to name Irmo "The Friendly City." The name stuck and has served as the town's primary identifier ever since. In 1957, Irmo established its own water system and began selling electricity to other communities through an electric cooperative. Irmo has experienced various economic ups and downs throughout its history; however, it has always been an economically strong community that continues to thrive today. For example, in 2003-2004Irmo saw an increase in business owners opening their doors due to the resurgence of the American South following Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, during 2011-2012Irmo enjoyed continued growth with construction projects such as new homes being built and businesses expanding rapidly into new markets
