Here are some key points about how each level can help: STATE-BY-STATE 1) State governments should create laws requiring universal background checks on purchasers of Firearms at retail outlets (currently only required for pistols/long guns). 2) states should also pass stricter regulations on ammunition sales and possession including limiting magazine capacities and making sure that bullets cannot be bought or possessed without a license or registration card. 3) The Brady Campaign should continue its aggressive marketing campaigns aimed at getting more people educated about responsible gun ownership and storage habits so as not to leave anyone open to robbery or shooting if they have access to a firearm

Greenwood, South Carolina is a town in Richland County, South Carolina, United States. The population was 8,816 at the 2010 census. Greenwood is one of the oldest settlements in the state of South Carolina and was established by English colonists in 1785. It is named after George Greenwood, who organized a group of men to explore this new land. The first town meeting in Greenwood took place on December 10, 1785. The original plat for Greenwood was located off US-27 south of present day Clemson University and east of present day Greenville University. In 1802, Colonel James Wilkinson offered to donate land for the town if it could erect a schoolhouse and provide other necessary infrastructure. This offer was accepted and construction began on the current schoolhouse in 1803-04. One of the first deeds that Greenwood acquired included 1/2 acre (0.24 km²) of property west of present day Uptown Drive which became known as “Greenwood Heights” later). The Townspeople had voted to create an Agricultural Society on November 15th, 1800 by Resolution No: 179 passed at their Town Meeting convened pursuant to Section 12A Article XVIII Chapter 271 Of The Constitution Of South Carolina; Which society shall hereafter be styled The "Greenwood Agricultural Society". On January 5th 1800 another resolution was passed authorizing Samuel Chase to purchase two hundred acres (100 ha) within bounds aforesaid from John Whitefield and others for building roads through said tract now known as Greenfield Township Line thence easterly unto Richland County line then westerly again unto Clemson University campus thence northerly into said township line making all such purchases subject thereto assurances having been given by Saml Chase thereunto subscribed with his hand Copy Hereof). The first store opened its doors at 205 EAST GREENFIELD ROAD on October 4th 1830 In 1837 A post office called "Greensboro" was established at 6 WEST 3RD STREET In 1865 Greenwood merged with neighboring unincorporated community "Uptown", forming what is now known as Greenville County . However before merger most public services were provided by both communities until consolidation occurred effective May 1st 1865 when postal service moved from Uptown to Greensboro
