Greenwood, South Carolina is a small town in Richland County, South Carolina located about 25 miles east of Columbia. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. Greenwood was founded in 1814 by John Greenwood and his brother James and grew rapidly along the frontier for over two centuries until its incorporation as a town in 1881. Greenwood is known for its wide variety of agricultural products which include corn, beans, soybeans, rice, cotton, and other crops. The community's nickname "The City on the Hill" comes from its location atop Greenville Hill overlooking downtown Charleston. The hill has been used as a landmark since before the town's founding and still contains remnants of original buildings including a courthouse and jail. In addition to Downtown Charleston and many smaller businesses located on Meeting Street between King Street and Tryon Street (known locally as "The Ghetto"), most residents live near rural roads that lead out of town to farms or other properties which support Greenwood's agricultural economy. Greenwood is home to one of only three remaining black churches in South Carolina - First Baptist Church - also called "Olde Glory". It was built in 1865 following Reconstruction when many African Americans were forced into labor on plantations following the end of slavery. Since it opened its doors to worshippers again in 2006 it has seen an increased number of visitors from around the world who come to hear worshipers from all walks of life share their stories and experiences during services led by Reverend Carlton Jarrell-Bennett II., pastor emeritus at First Baptist Church - also known as "Olde Glory". According to first recorded census data from 1790s Greenwood had just 2 inhabitants when Colleton County was organized with land gains made through early treaties with Native American nations resulting in permanent white settlement within present day Richland County boundaries including what is now parts of Greenwood Village adjacent to I-85/I-95 corridor; this area included much older territory now part of Columbia County including portions now within Sandy Springs neighborhood south side of I-285 Waffle House Rd., approximately where I-85 meets US 301 today; these areas were then part Of Catawba Nation under Tribal Chief Ebenezer Boone who resided near present day Georgetown area northeast corner lot owned by A&P grocery store off E Broad St.; these pre 1800 boundaries are easily recognizable by earthenounds found throughout most portion Of Catawba Nation circa 1790s & 1800s***It should be noted that Indian Country Today web site erroneously lists benchmark date for initial Katawba nation land acquisition c1794 instead dates back to 1680 when English settlers arrived via shipwreck off coast SC ***As early as 1792 Indian Nations had organized themselves into several tribes under Chiefs Ebenezer Boone (Cherokee), James Robertson (Yamasee),[and] Andrew Williamson (Wabash) among others***In 1792 Treaty #1 between England & Cherokee Nation resulted in purchase by British Crown for $5200 excludes Creek Nation lands west side OF Savannah River****By 1800 boundary disputes surrounding growing Piedmont region led English governmentto establish new agency called “British West Africa Company”****In 1801 Yorktown Campaign resulted in removal (& loss)of entire Cherokee Nation from southeastern Georgia thru southern Alabama yes even past Nanticoke Tribe boundary*****From this point forward Creek nation boundaries were largely determinedby natural features such as rivers or mountain ranges **** eastern edgeline Current Pickens Parish line approximates original Creekshootie River*Note:*Catawba Nations boundaries have changed markedly over time due mainly To encroachment By European settlers on traditional lands
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the history of the Ar15 upper receiver is unique to each individual. However, some general elements that have been important in the development and popularity of Ar15 receivers include: The first Ar15 receivers were created in 1994 by award-winning firearms designer John Metzger. The original designs used a stamped aluminum frame with an 18" barrel and Airsoft compatible plastic magazine. These receivers were designed for use with airsoft guns, but could also be used with real firearms if desired. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, manufacturers began to develop higher quality ar15 upper receivers that were more durable and longer lasting than their predecessors. One such manufacturer was Riflescout, which released their XM175 model in 2003. This receiver utilized a forged steel frame with a 20" barrel and required an aftermarket lower receiver to function properly. It was later discovered that this model had been made using faulty manufacturing processes which caused it to fail during testing; however, Riflescout continued production of the XM175 model until 2007. Later in 2002, another company named BCG announced they would begin selling ar15/m4 compatible receivers called “BCG Midline” models (later renamed “BCG A3”). These receivers were not based on any specific design or pattern other than featuring an 18” barrel and standard M4 Feed lips on both sides of the receiver allowing for full conversion from airsoft to real firearm use without having to rework any parts! prowling around classified ads for months before finally finding one for sale at a gun show I entered into contact with BCG customer service via email about purchasing one – shipping included! After confirming my order details through email they proceeded to send me my new midline A3 receiver without any hassle or extra costs!
