The beginnings of modern day Charleston can be traced back even further than that however; according to legend there once existed three giants who ruled over alligators namely Goliath, Heracles & Mojo—all three were saidto have barefooted themselves fighting off lions& bears while living exactly 1 mile offshore from present day downtown core complete with private beachfront property still extant today (& very popular tourist spot). Today if you go out onto Frenchman’s Wharf overlooking downtown you will see an offshore rock formation dubbed “Goliath Rock” which is saidto have been created by waves crashing against Goliath Rock providing cover for maritime activities during times Of Conflict etc.) We can only imagine how exciting it must have been having those giant green feet atop those mighty shoulders!
