Scope mounts have been a part of Central Falls, Rhode Island since the late 1800s. The first known mount was made in 1892 by J.W. Babcock and Sons from a post on the town square. A later version of the Babcock mount became popular in the 1920s and 1930s, when it allowed shooters to aim their rifles at targets out-of-sight. By 1932, all rifle sights were mounted on scopes using scope mounts created by Latham & Company. These mounts were later used for shotguns as well. The early days of scope mounting in Central Falls were difficult because there was no definitive way to attach a telescope to a rifle or shotgun barrel without damaging or altering the firearm itself. One solution was to use an old fashioned Weaver thread locker to secure the telescope tube to the barrel while keeping it stationary. This workaround did not work well with high magnification telescopes and required regular adjustments which led to frustration for shooters who could only shoot at low magnification settings due to recoil problems. In 1937, Wm Fenton developed a new type of scope mount that allowed shooters to adjust their sighting devices independently from their rifles or shotguns rather than relying on one specific mounting system. This invention revolutionized Scope Mounting in America and helped make Central Falls one of the leading Scope Mounting capitals in North America during the 1940s and 1950s. This innovation also gave rise to another great success story for Central Falls – The Rheinmetallscope company which manufactured superb quality optics until 1986!

Another significant event occurred in 1951 when the first human being walked on Earth, Neil Armstrong, visited Central Falls while he was on his way to become an astronaut. The history of Expand on Scope mounts starts with a project by John S. Stevens in 1984. He designed and built the first expandable scope mount, the N-Rail Scope Mount, which was used to attach an image intensifier (e.g., CCD) to a rifle sight post using four screws that were tightened onto the rifle's barrel shroud. The mount allowed for magnification up to 25X without having to remove the stock from the gun. In 1990, Stevens developed and marketed the original Weaver style expansion mount, which allowed for magnification up to 100X with only one screw remaining in place on the barrel shroud. This design was improved in 1992 when he developed and marketed theclassic Weaver style expansion mount, which permitted magnification up to 200X with two screws remaining in place on both barrels shrouds. In 1995, Stevens began marketing his own universal scope mounting system,the X-Ray Scope Mounting System, which allows for magnification up to 400X with just one screw still remaining on either barrel shroud. This design was further improved in 1997 when he introduced his new QD Weaver style ExpansionMounting System, which permits magnification up to 600X with three screws remaining in place on both barrels shrouds. This design has since become commonplace among professional shooters because it offers great flexibility when attachment and removal of optics while maintaining perfect alignment of sighting equipment across multiple riflesights or scopes
Central Falls is a town located in Rhode Island. The population was 3,851 at the 2010 census. Central Falls is part of the Providence- Warwick metropolitan area and is home to Brown University, Mount Holyoke College, and URI (University of Rhode Island). Central Falls was first settled in 1635 by Loyalists from England. The town was founded on the site of what is now called Queen's Chapel. The early settlers were farmers and their families who raised crops and raised livestock. In 1805, the town was incorporated as Central Falls. The first store opened in central falls on Main Street in 1806. By 1830, there were 12 stores in central fall with a population of 1,600 people. In 1830, a canal was built through central falls which made it easier for goods to be transported between Providence and Warwick without having to go through Pawtucket or South Kingstown. This led to an increase in business along Main Street and helped make central fall one of the most prosperous towns in Rhode Island during this time period. In 1843, a school house was built near what is now known as Waterfront Park on Fall River Road. This school served as the primary educational institution for children living within walking distance of Central Falls until 1913 when Brown University began offering classes here too! In 1865, a fire destroyed much of downtown Central Falls but not before some notable buildings such as the Federal Building had been erected including one that still stands today – the Post Office building now known as “The Hall” across from Boston Pizza! A new courthouse replaced the old courthouse which burned down in 1889 but has since been restored and used as office space by various organizations including Landmark Development Inc., LLC d/b/a RI Housing Authority; RI State House; RI Historic Preservation Office; RI Department of Transportation In 1909-1910 two commercial blocks south of where Waterfront Park currently stands were developed into what would become known as Aqua Place with local resident John Fenton being responsible for designing all materials utilized herein such as fencing, landscape design etc.. In 1927-1928 Mr Fenton also designed three homes at 5010 Fall River Rd (now known as Aqua Place North) – two are extant still today while third has been demolished though plans are underway to rebuild it . During World War II many local businesses went into production such As Molyneux Paper Company which produced paper for military use then radio frequency identification tags used by troops overseas then Allied Bauxite Mines Limited which mined bauxite ore found throughout New England then A & J Manufacturing Company that manufactured munitions including artillery ammunition both confiscated from Axis countries during World War II then sold back to Allies after war ended Afterward many other companies followed suit such Singer Sewing Machine company producing clothes here until they closed shop locally around 1970 Finally Eastman Kodak purchased camera plant located adjacent to current day RISD campus allowing them to continue making film products here until 1997 When they discontinued operations completely leaving behind large amounts of empty lots within city limits! All told over 150 businesses flourishedwithin walls no less than 10 feet thick during those early days prior simply because everyone wanted something from someone else! Many things have changed over time especially with technology but aspects like commerce remain largely unchanged with locals working hand-in-hand with outside contractors often times doing things their own way usually resulting in creative solutions rather than following set procedures or mandates typically seen elsewhere! Most notably among these latter examples is how RISD functions nowadays having essentially grown out OF ITS OWN accord largely thanks mainly to centralfalls residents willingness To Cooperation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 1792, the company sold its holdings in Central Falls to the Rhode Island General Assembly. In 1802, Central Falls was made a city and it has remained as such since then.
