The next ar15 model was released in 1987, which was called the Colt AR-10A1/B1/C2/D2/. It featured a Picatinny rail system on top of it, allowing users to attach various accessories such as optics or lasers. This rifle was also extremely popular due to its low cost and easy assembly. In 1994, Colt introduced the AR-15A3/B3/C3/. It featured an even more advanced gas-operated action that allowed users to fire up to 15 rounds per minute with no issue whatsoever. Additionally, this rifle had a new buttstock design that allowed for increased accuracy and comfort when firing your weapon. By 1998, all Ar15 rifles were being manufactured by Colt as part of their M4 platform series (M4 = “medium machinegun”). At this point, there were several variants available including: Ar-10A3(R), Ar-10A5(L), Ar-10A7(E), etc.). These variations differed mainly in regards to caliber (e.g., 7mm Remington Magnum vs 5mm NATO) but also included different barrel lengths (24in vs 36in). In 2000, Colt discontinued production of their M4 platform firearms altogether and instead decided focus on creating their own line of assault rifles known as pistols called “Pistols USA” (Pistols = “firearm” +USA = United States). At this point in time there were only two variants available: Glock 17 vs 9mm Parabellum & Sig Sauer P226 vs .45 ACP! A few years later Glock began producing an updated version of their flagship pistol known as Glock 21 which incorporated some new features into its chambering including a backstraps safety feature & 4 or 6 round magazine capacity! There has been much debate surrounding what exactly happened with these old guns once production stopped; Some believe they simply became unprofitable & were eventually phased out while others argue that Colt actually just abandoned these guns completely without any real explanation given! The truth probably resides somewhere between those two extremes but at least we now know why certain firearms didn’t receive updates or continued manufacture after Production ceased: They simply weren’t profitable anymore!
