These companies have all been hit hard by global economic conditions over recent years,[2] and although many have made recovery through aggressive cost cutting measures and acquisitions, others remain vulnerable to future cuts or bankruptcy."[3] One reason why job security is high despite difficult economic times may be because many businesses focus less attention on employee training nowadays due to competition from technology firms like Google ("Google Fiber"), Facebook (/facebook), Amazon (/amzn), Apple (/apple), Microsoft (/msft), Costco Wholesale Club (&co) - all major players online -and other ecommerce ventures,. Overall there continues to be little investment into employee development across most industries these days !"

In 1800 he married Sarah Swartzentruber and they had six children: Susannah, Elizabeth, George Washington Bartlett III (1801-1881), Lydia Maria (born 1802), Martha Augusta (born 1804), Charles Augustus Bartlett (1806-1864). George Washington Bartlett III founded what is now Bethlehem Steel Company in 1825 and became its president in 1857. He also served as member of the US Congress from 1857 to 1861 and as governor of Pennsylvania from 1863 to 1865. In 1865 he became US Senator from Pennsylvania and died two years later after a long illness at age 83 years old. Lydia Maria Bartlett was born on October 12th, 1805 in Lancaster County,Pennsylvania to Charles Augustus Bartlett and Martha Augusta Germann. She married Elisha Sievers on November 21st 1840 at an estate near Lebanon Junction PA while she was visiting her niece Lucy Dearborn Sievers who had been living with her father Amos Dearborn since early childhood until his death three weeks prior when she then moved into Mr.Sievers home with him & all his kids which included Lizzy born December 11th 1840& Harriot born May 4th 1846 both living with us still are we believe currently living somewhere out east side of state line
