The Uniontown Gun Mags were a gun store and magazine in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1892 by Elisha S. Beard and his son-in-law, James Fenton. The store was located at 372 North 3rd Street. It closed in 1984.
Uniontown is a town in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allentown- Bethlehem-Easton, PA metropolitan area. The first European settlers in Uniontown were Quakers from England who came to view the Susquehanna River as the natural route for a trade route between Philadelphia and London. The first settler in what is now Uniontown was Nicholas Morehouse who arrived on October 5, 1781. He built a small cabin on what is now Main Street. In 1814, John Dallmeyer began to farm land in Uniontown and soon started selling goods such as flour, hay, eggs and cheese out of his home on Third Avenue. By 1820 there were over 20 stores in town with an average of 10 customers each day! In 1827 George Washington Carver founded North Penn Ford which became one of the largest transportation companies west of the Allegheny Mountains. Carver also opened up Union Township to farming by selling lots for agriculture purposes at low prices to early pioneers who chose to settle here because they could get good soil and water access without having to go too far away or purchase supplies from other towns or counties. Agriculture continued to be important until after World War II when manufacturing took over as Uniontown's main economic development artery. After years of decline during the 1960s through much of the 1970s due largely to political correctness (a movement that discouraged any mention of racism), Uniontown saw some resurgence beginning in the late 1990s when businesses began investing back into their properties and marketing themselves more overtly as "diverse" communities including African American residents along with various Latino/Hispanic businesses catering specifically to their customer base Today Uniontown has seen steady population growth since 2000 averaging about 2%. Its economy remains strong thanks primarily to its location within easy commuting distance both eastward towards Allentown and westward towards Bethlehem while also enjoying excellent access via Interstate 69 which makes it easily accessible both northbound into Reading and southbound into York County The history of this community goes back much further than anyone alive today can remember! One man who had a significant impact on this community was Nicholas Morehouse – he settled here in 1781 after coming overland from England via Pennsylvania’s Susquehanna River Valley! He made his home near where we currently stand on Third Avenue (now Main Street) but also started selling goods out side his building soon afterwards! Since then many others have followed suit; these include John Dallmeyer starting off farming land nearby around 1814 before moving onto largerscale sales enterprises such as North Penn Ford & Son beginning around 1830! This industry boomed throughout most of our 19th century until WW2 when Automobiles replaced Agriculture as our primary economic drivers; however recently things have begun subtly improving again with new investment being placed back into property values & marketing efforts aimed squarely at multiculturalism instead :)

Today Uniontown is home to a large number of retirees from Pittsburgh and surrounding areas who enjoy their quiet lifestyle and access to many amenities that are not available elsewhere in Northwest Pennsylvania.
