They traveled back home to live with their families and decision was made for them to join their sisterhood instead, which they did in 1840 when they were both 27 years old. It wasn't until 1942, however, when Sister Margaret saw an advertisement for a nunnery near her home town of Scranton which would allow her to take up permanent residence there after deserting her convent in Boston due to World War II rationing. She agreed and moved into the new convent immediately upon its opening which became known as “the Black Maria” because of its bright red paint job (although today’s building is much grayer). Sister Margaret quickly set about creating a community within her convent where she could teach religious children how to read, write, arithmetic, Bible translation etc., while also engaged in other activities such as social service work and healthcare services for local residents during wartime times (when most people didn't have access tohandheld medical technology). Unfortunately things changed dramatically within Sister Margaret's convent when she passed away suddenly aged 66 years old after giving birth prematurelyto what turned out to be another child - an incident which left many members question whether or not she truly wanted or needed another child once again Added insultingly was that State authorities announced plans shortly thereafter – without any prior warning –to demolish all remaining buildings within five miles radius of Sister Margaret's former convent including “the Black Maria” specifically because those structures had been used by American soldiers hand-in-hand with German officers as living quarters during their occupation! Needless To say public outcry ensued culminating ultimately with representatives from both Pittsburgh’s Catholic hierarchy as well as Mayor Tom Murphy intervening personally orders being rescinded allowing “the Black Maria” structure still standing albeit barely holding together despite some significant damage) All told it resulted in much embarrassment for city officials responsible for such an egregious display of government hypocrisy given that these same officials had hypocritically praised similar measures elsewhere within the city just weeks earlier! It now stands testamentary reminder that even under difficult circumstances sometimes good can happen - even if you don't get what you want... especially if you're blessed by Providence!
