When he got back home he petitioned Parliament for shares of empire but didn’t receive them until AFTER HIS DEATH! In 1784 American colonists founded another colony called Westmoreland County near modern day Philadelphia based on some abandoned settler homes that belonged to Sir George Washington! These colonists were farmers looking for cheap land for crops/livestock etc when they stumbled upon some coal seams close by! When America became a country it split into 3 parts: North Carolina seceded from South Carolina while Georgia seceded from Alabama; Mississippi seceded from Texas; AND Louisiana SEEDED FROM RADCLIFFE COUNTY IN TEXAS!!!!! So there you have it folks – 4 different COUNTRIES THAT HAVE SEEN PEOPLE MOVING HERE AND BACK AGAIN OVER TIME!!! What does that mean??? Well basically it means that people either LOVE THIS LOCATION or THEY HATE IT!!!!!! We are still kinda suckers over whether or not we should call ourselves “Stoneyville” because our founder liked to wear shoes made out of stoney rock!!! lol….. Anyways…. Onward………………….. In 1827 Lancaster County was formed out of Delaware Township along with neighboring Cumberland Township due to increasing tensions between these two counties about taxes levied on properties within their boundaries lands taken away by Lancaster County without compensation (the so-called "Plymouth Tornado"). This event helped create social unrestrained by government control which led directly to statehood for PA three years later…….. Formation Of Lancaster & Cumberland Townships also resulted In Increase Of Population To 511 persons In 1829 From Just 83 Persons Living In Those Townships Alone!!!!!!!!!!!!! And so we go……… 6 years without any major changes until 1830 when things really start heating up!!!!!! With increased traffic coming through our city limits caused largely by anthracite coal mining operations opening up right outside our door Stoneyville lost its reputation as being an all around nice place!!!!! But don't worry though – things haven't stopped there just because ours has been struggling lately!!!! There's been an increase in crime statistics too!!! security footage shows armed robberies happening right outside your doorstep more times than not!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus even if you're not worried about crime you can't help but feel like you're living under constant siege nonetheless……………. And yet here we are today – still standing strong despite all these challenges……….
