Gun lights became popularized after their use in movies such as Star Wars and The Terminator. Today, they are still used to help shooters see their targets more easily at night or during training exercises.

The town of St. Marys, Pennsylvania is located in the southwestern corner of the state, about fifteen miles southwest of Pittsburgh. The population was 1,491 at the 2000 census and 1,565 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allegheny County boroughs of Greensburg and Monroeville. Until 1795, St. Marys was known as a small cluster of Iroquois villages that extended from what is now Greenville to Butlerstown and back again to McKees Rocks on the Susquehanna River. In 1795, when British troops burned down these villages and captured their chiefs as hostages, they renamed them "St. Mary's". In 1814 when General James Ketchum marched his army through Erie County towards Pittsburgh to help with its war against Mexico, he passed through St. Marys on his way northward. This event has been commemorated by a statue (or bust) overlooking Park Avenue in downtown Greensburg which reads: "Ketchum's Army pass thro' our village". St. Marys, Pennsylvania is a small town located in the Susquehanna Valley of central Pennsylvania. The population was 9,725 at the 2010 census. It is the namesake of both St. Mary's Parish and the parish church in which it resides. The first European settlers to arrive in what is now St. Marys were French Huguenots who came from Chenonceau, France in 1682. They built a trading post on the banks of the Susquehanna River about three miles south of present-day St. Marys Church. The original village site was near where Interstate 376 meetsPA Route 11 today. In 1785, Governor George Washington granted land to John Penn for his colony of Pennsylvanian refugees from British America who had fled during the Revolution (1775-83). Penn named this land "StMarys Township" after his patron saint, SaintMary Magdalene de Nazareth (credited with healing many wounds during that time). In 1824, as part of an effort to populate rural areas outside Philadelphia City limits, commissioners sold 640 acres adjacent to present-day StMarys Township and merged it into Lawrence County under one name - "Susquehanna Township". In 1867, when Philadelphia annexed Lawrence County, portions of what are now Northumberland and Delaware counties were added to make up its total area; Susquehanna Township remained within Lawrence County alone until 1937 when it was included within Butler County as part of that county's merger with Westmoreland and Monmouthshire into Harrisburg Borough (now Philadelphia). The current village site emerged around 1800 when several families erected log homes along some small creeks flowing through their farmland northward from present day Uniontown and Bethlehem Steel Co., now Consolmagno steel plant on I-376 overpassing PA Route 11 east of town limits - creek crossings still visible today in fields bordering these Creekside Communities today: Backerstown Creek (north), White Sands Creek (southwest), Easton Creek (northeast) & Mill Brook (west). This early village site may have been called Byngstown or Beech Grove because many trees here grew very well – acorns being especially prolific – dense stands yielding quality resources such as lumber which had high value at that time for shipbuilding/construction purposes due to access to navigable rivers across much eastern Pennsylvania country then covered by Woodshed forests also rich in game including deer & bear opportunity then considered plentifully supplied by Native Americans before white contact opened up these vast new hunting preserves open only seasonally thanks largely too changing climate conditions brought on by CO2 emissions from burning oil wells etc.; NOTE those days long gone so climate change effects continue unabated https://www .pennstatehistory .edu/sites/default/files/pdf_attachments/_History%20of%20Susquehanna%20Valley%20Village%20180519__4of5_800px_.pdf ).
