Sharon, Pennsylvania is the birthplace of ammunition. The town was founded in 1794 by Nicholas-Jacques Cartier and his family on a property that now includes the Sharon Arsenal Ammunition Plant. The first fire arms were made here, including cannons and rifles used during the American Revolution. The plant was renovated in 1984 and became one of the most important military ammunition production facilities in America. It produces both small arms ammunition and artillery rounds. Ammunition products include 7.62x39mm NATO, .380 ACP, 9mm Parabellum, 10 mm Luger, 5.56 NATO, and more. In 1814, cannonballs were first manufactured at this site for use by General Anthony Wayne in the War of 1812 against Canada. In 1917 World War I began with Germany’s entry into World War I and munitions output increased significantly at this plant as munitions materials were needed for fighters planes and tanks as well as warships. After World War II ended hostilities in Europe it closed its doors to all but Russian munition manufacturers until 1987 when it reopened to Kazakh munitions producers under a new name - Armament Complex of Sharon (ACoS). Today ACoS manufactures components for various types of automatic weapons systems such as machine guns, grenade launchers, antitank missiles etc., among other items essential to modern warfare around the world

The only other town in the county is Uniontown. The first post office in Sharon was established on November 12, 1827, and was called "Dover". The present name of the town may be derived from John Prescott who settled there in 1824. Sharon contains two small amusement parks - Dorney Park and Hershey Park - as well as several shopping malls and multiplexes. It also has a number of churches including First Presbyterian Church which dates back to 1796 and Third Presbyterian Church which was built in 1907. During World War II, Sharon served as an airfield for bomber missions over Germany that were flown by American forces under General Patton's command. Today most of the industrial activity takes place outside of town limits while some businesses still operate within the limits such as Claymore Mines Inc., a coal mine that closed in 2006 but reopened later this year after being rehabilitated by the company Shamrock Mines Limited Partnership (a wholly owned subsidiary of Peabody Energy).

This launchers were made out of wood, metal, or canvas but eventually plastic became available which helped increase accuracy (Garcia). Shot putts continued to be used until the late 18th century when handguns began becoming more popular (Dixon) so they no longer needed to rely on traditional hand-held projectiles that could only reach distances up to 300 feet! Firearms then became more accurate making them ideal for using shot putts as their primary means of firing munitions! Shotsputters would then use bales of straw dummies as targets instead giving them much closer ranges! Today’s shotgun shooters also use shot putters as part of their training regimen because they are very accurate from short ranges (>25 yards)

By 1840, most of what is now Sharon had been built up and by 1849, all but two of the original homes had been sold or rented out. However, business continued to be strong until around 1870 when many people left for better opportunities in surrounding towns.
