His store continued operations until 1933 when it was destroyed in a fire caused by faulty wiring inside the building. At around this time, pistol production switched from reloading powder into shot shells which led to increased casualties during World War I because artillery could not use traditional Reloading Powder guns due to their need for high explosive rounds that created extensive damage areas with each discharge therefore causing more fatalities than any other conflict between armies before or since WWI .
