They quickly became popular with GM employees and were widely adopted by other automakers soon after.
New Kensington is a town in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 20,898. The name "New Kensington" is from the original grant of land to John Penn and others in 1783. It was first settled by Germans in 1799. The borough was founded on December 7, 1815 by commissioners from Kingston and Newtown Township. New Kensington's first mayor was James Payson (1824-29). The history of New Kensington begins with a grant of land to John Penn and others in 1783. John Penn had come overland from England as part of an expedition commanded by General George Washington to establish a military post on the Susquehanna River between Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. On October 11, 1800, he received a letter from Secretary of State Richard Rushton inquiring about land grants for soldiers quartered at his Manor House on Beaverdam Creek near Reading. Penn replied that he could not give any information until he had inspected the property himself; but when he arrived at his Manor House late that night he found that it consisted of two hundred acres (including 100 acres (0.4 km2) now known as Mount Pleasant), all lying within what is now Delaware County. Penn arranged with Captain Jameson – one of those who had accompanied him – to purchase this tract and laid out streets through it into what are now Downingtown Township and Dunmore Township before returning home for Christmas present to his wife Pocahontas (now Delray Beach). In January 1784, following instructions from President George Washington,Penn appointed three commissioners - Abraham Baldwin III., Alexander Hamilton II., and Ebenezer Pike - whose task it was “to view & consider proper methods for establishing an academy at this place” (). One result of their deliberations was the issuance of a patent dated February 10th,, 1785 authorizing “the erection hereof…an academy for educating young men under sixteen years old without paying tuition” (). This new school became known as “Johns Hopkins” after its founder Johns Hopkins University whichopened its doors in 1837veterans were allowed free tuition starting November 1st,. This initial structure did not last long though; soon afterward Pennsylvania state legislators complained about too much heavy teaching by graduate students rather than frontier farmers or mechanics who could benefit directly from instruction offered thereat () so they passed legislation imposing graduated tuition rates throughout the colony including New Kensington (). The Academny eventually closed its doors due largely to financial problems associated with World War I however some alumni such as Samuel Morse continue on through various education institutions worldwide today particularly Evergreen State College where Morse once taught/resided

This product was first introduced in 1999 and became widely available on the market. The mount consists of an attached 4x magnification eyepiece and a base that is designed to be bolted to any surface.
New Kensington was founded in 1795 by Captain John Wilson and his family. The town was named after the then-new, vast and undeveloped area that now makes up part of Philadelphia. The Wilsons were among the first Europeans to settle in this area, trading goods with the natives. They built a small log cabin on the edge of what is now called West Kensington Township. The early years of New Kensington were difficult, but it slowly attracted settlers with its fertile land, sturdy buildings, and friendly people. In 1801, Mayor James Biddle awarded a grant of 640 acres to Colonel Nathaniel Bingham for the purpose of erecting a town square. This donated land also included the present-day blocks that make up North Meridian Street and South Broad Street. By 1810, New Kensington had become a thriving community with over 200 families living in homes made from logs and turf mixed together with straw manure for insulation. A courthouse was built in 1812 and a school began operation in 1814. By 1830, there were more than 1,000 residents living here – including many prominent citizens such as Judge George Washington Harris and Congressman Isaac Asbury! During World War I (1914-1918), many brave men from New Kensington served on various battlefields across America. One resident who gave their all was Harry Humes (pictured). Humes enlisted in military service during World War I as an infantryman at age 16 and saw action near Ypres Ridge on April 6th 1915 – just days before he died! In addition to its role as an important stop on our Pennsylvania Railroad line during wartime (and afterwards), New Kensington also enjoyed success as an agricultural center during peacetime too. Many large farms were established here beginning around 1920 thanks to advances in technology which allowed farmers to produce more food with less water use! Although they are no longer extant due to development or illness – like Harry Humes – many of these pioneering farmers still leave behind memories of their time here at New Kensington!

New Kensington quickly developed into a major center for trade and commerce, with a population of over 100 people in 1800. It became an especially important market town during the American Revolution, as it served as a crossroads between Pennsylvania and Maryland. In 1801, New Kensington was renamed Philadelphia after General James K. Polk's victory in the U.S. presidential election that year.
