In 1847, the New Kensington Railroad was founded in Pennsylvania. The company connected Lancaster and Philadelphia with a network of track miles that stretched from the Susquehanna River to Bucks County. In 1865, the company merged with the Erie Railroad, which made it one of the largest railroads in North America. In 1907, the New Kensington Railway was purchased by Penn Central. Penn Central divided its system into two parts: The East Side Lines (Erie) and Hudson Bay Line (New York City). The Hudson Bay Line became part of Conrail after Penn Central's bankruptcy in 1970. The Erie Line remained an independent line until it was sold to Amtrak in 2009. The first high capacity conversions were made on the Erie Line when it converted from steam locomotives to diesel locomotives. These conversions increased passenger trains' speed by up to 20 mph while increasing their overall cargo capacity by up to 400 tons per day. Additionally, these conversions allowed for more efficient use of track and allowed for larger platforms on both tracks. After World War II, there began a trend of railway companies converting their entire systems to diesel technology. This change allowed railways to operate at higher speeds and greater distances without having to rebuild stations or increase their capital investment costs. In 1955,Pennsylvania Railroad converted its entire system from steam locomotives to diesel engines; this conversion increased passenger trains' speed by up to 25 mph while reducing their overall cargo capacity by up to 100 tons per day1 . Additionally, this conversion allowed for more efficient use of track and allowed for larger platforms on both tracks2 . Since then, there have been several other high capacity conversions across different railway companies throughout North America3 . These conversions have helped improve passengers' experience while also reducing costs4 . Overall, these conversions have helped create new opportunities for railways as they can now operate at much higher speeds and provide a wider range of services5 .

There is a long and varied history of high capacity conversions. From the early days of computing, it was realized that increased processing power could be used to create more versatile and efficient machines. This led to the development of powerful computers that could handle larger files than ever before. In the 1970s, we saw a shift in technology where larger floppy disks were replaced by CD-ROMs which allowed for even larger files to be stored on disks. The ability to store large files on discs gave rise to the idea of "big data" which became increasingly important in today's economy. In the 1990s, we began seeing laptops become popular and as people became more reliant on technology, they also wanted greater storage space for their files. Additionally, laptop computers often had higher resolutions than traditional desktop computers so it was easier to store large images or videos without having them fill up an entire computer screen. As technology evolved, so too did high capacity conversions - now we see devices such as SSDs (Solid State Drive) and 3D Printers that offer increased storage capacities with little penalty in performance or battery life

New Kensington, Pennsylvania is a borough in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 11,852 at the 2010 census. New Kensington is one of the most ethnically diverse and economically prosperous towns in Philadelphia. It has a rich colonial history with buildings dating back to 1699 and a vibrant nightlife that continues today. Today's residents are descendants of the original German settlers who founded the town in 1751. The first mention of New Kensington appears to be in an inventory of goods seized from James II during his victory over King Charles I at Worcester on October 25, 1649. This list included "a hogshead of new kensington bordeaux wine" and "ten bushels of new kennington corn". In 1751, John Penn desired to establish himself as a proprietary farmer in what would become Philadelphia County - he sent two men eastward to purchase land here and name their settlement New Kensington after his estate near Kensingstown, PA (now Kingston), which he had also purchased from the king. According to tradition, Penn named his estate Larkinsburg because he felt that it would provide more security for his cattle than any other place withinPhiladelphia County- something which continued until 1869 when all lands south of Huntingdon Avenue were consolidated into Philadelphia County. In 1795 (following America's first revolution), about 10% of all Americans lived within 20 miles (32 km) of Philadelphia; by 1800 only 1% did so. However, this percentage grew rapidly due largely to immigration from Northern Europe during this time period- especially among Germans who arrived at unprecedented levels following the Revolution and then quickly assimilated into American society. By 1830 only 2% did so within 20 miles; by 1840 nearly 50%. The arrival of large numbers Polish immigrants during this same time period further accelerated this trend: by 1800 Poles constituted almost 60% (or more) of all immigrants living within 20 miles outsidePhiladelphia proper; by 1830 they were almost 80%. By 1850 they had increased to 100%. This growth led to relatively small settlements like New Kensington lasting much longer than larger counterparts such as Philadelphia Heights or Germantown- both located just north of downtown Philly on trendy streets such as Market Street and South Street East respectively circa 1800-1830 while smaller settlements like Newtown disappeared completely during these years witnessing rapid gentrification throughout much portions central city Philly overnight between1800/1830 through 1860/ 1870/ 1880 etc... Most notably Little Italy along North Broad St., soon becoming known as “the Italian section” became ghettos entirely composed mostly Italian Americans from Northeast Philly although some Irish also lived there early on

In 1795, the first white settler in New Kensington Township was John Lewis. In 1827, a log cabin was erected on what is now Main Street by Nathan Smith. In 1828, Isaac Harmon built a sawmill and gristmill on the banks of the Susquehanna River. The mill became known as Harmon's Mill. In 1850, Malthus White founded White Paper Co., which manufactured paper products such as tickets and checks. New Kensington Township was organized on March 1, 1868 from parts of Huntingdon Township and Northampton County. The township’s initial population was 909 residents.
