The first gun target business was opened by George Washington and his family in 1792. It was located on Market Street between Third and Fourth Streets. At that time, there were no shooting galleries or ranges available in Pennsylvania. Instead, customers had to go outside to shoot at small game or birds. In 1818, a man named John Fenton opened a range on High Street near present-day State College Boulevard. He began sellingtarget pistols and shotguns as well as other firearms. At that time, gun target shoots were considered standard practice among farmers and hunters in Pennsylvania’s eastern counties. The early Targets operators were very experienced shooters who knew how to hit their targets perfectly every time. They also operated with a high degree of professionalism because they wanted their customers to have an enjoyable experience rather than just confronting a difficult task of hitting moving objects from 100 feet away! Over time, more and more people started opening their own businesses around Philadelphia due to the increasing popularity of gun Target shoots across America! These new businesses soon followed suit throughout Pennsylvania’s western areas until finally we found ourselves here in New Castle – home of some of the world’s most famous gun target shops!

At first little attention was paid to Barnesboro Township because its residents disproportionately consisted of poor Germans who hadPreviously been enslaved by shipment from Africa via Philadelphia to work on plantations in this area; however, with rapidly growing industrialization throughout eastern Pennsylvania during this time period development began to take hold with some streets being named after famous industry or merchants such as John Stevens (commerce) and John Hanna (steel).
