Murrysville is a small town in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,052 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east bank of the Susquehanna River at its junction with state Routes 30 and 32. The community began as a simple farmstead named "Murrysville" in 1784 by Myles Murry and his family. In 1828, John Murry purchased the land from the Pennsylvestans and laid out a village on it called Blooming Grove. He also built a mill there which still stands today. In 1892, James Fenton bought the Mill and Village from John Murry. He renamed them Murrysville after his paternal grandfather who had settled in that area in 1784. In 1924, he donated all of his agricultural land to the University of Pennsylvania for use as an experimental farm field known as "Fenton's Forest". Today much of that property remains within the boundaries of Murrysville Township along with other rolling hills including several homes dating back to 1800s such as Christmastime Mansion #2 (now part of First Baptist Church). Murrystown was once home to many industries such as brewing beer and making soap minerals from coal; however these have long since disappeared or been converted into housing or businesses elsewhere in town while most murraystown buildings remain unchanged from their original construction dates (except for one house which has been completely rebuilt multiple times). murraysville post office operated until 1976 when it was moved to new facilities located just outside town limits across the river in Bellefonte Township; however mail continued being delivered through Main Street intotown until 1992 when this route was replaced by State Route 20/32 both within murrysville proper as well as into Bellefonte Township where they currently stand side-by-side adjacent to First Baptist Church - one of only two remaining historic buildings left standing withinmurraysvilleVillage following its demolition during 2007-2008 Uniontown neighborhood redevelopment campaign [ 1 ]. Today much of that property remains withinthe boundariesof Murrysville Township along with other rolling hills including several homes dating backto 1800s such as Christmastime Mansion #2 (now part of First BaptistChurch). One notable exception is Townhouse No 11 which situates itself prominently atop what once functioned as an amusement park known locally simply as "The Hill" - now used largely for residential purposes although portions retain some visitor amenities like an outdoor pool and playground etc.; though evidence suggests that extensive demolitions occurred throughout late 2006 & early 2007 resulting in significant loss thereof both inside &outsideTownhouseNo11 notwithstanding efforts made by Preservation org.(see attached Map) unusual among American townships where virtually every building has been demolished at least once over recent decades replacement construction efforts have proven highly successful A major reason why residences are no longer clustered around active water systems but instead scattered far apart along wide streets providing privacy yet public access via sidewalks & bike paths is because rather than expensive infrastructure improvements having resulted throughout town center - funding constraints led to heavy reliance upon streetlights & signs rather than more modern lighting features necessary for160 foot pedestrian heights (& above 4 meter roofs), making vehicular access difficult if not impossible especially during holiday seasons... Despite this lack OF central amenity provision downtown& corresponding decrease in value conveyed thru exterior appearance many residents continue to live there despite issues facing their neighbors' dwellings... For example: 3 bedrooms + den+ walkout basement suite= $110K (2009) vs 3 bedrooms +den+walkout basement suite= $130K (2006); 2 bathrooms = $60K vs 3 bathrooms = $100K; single garage = $40K vs 2 garages = $60K; large lot size = less then .5 acres vs .8 acres

Murrysville, Pennsylvania was a small town in the United States of America at the time of its establishment. The community was located in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, on the south bank of the Susquehanna River. The name derives from John Murry, who settled there in 1726. John Murry had been a member of the first group of settlers to arrive in what is now Susquehanna County. He and his family were among the earliest Europeans to settle there. John's grandson, Daniel Murphy, also arrived in 1786 and soon began trading with the Indians. In 1800, he built a sawmill on current-day Canal Street near where it presently stands. Daniel Murphy also founded a school and religious congregation called First Presbyterian Church in 1802. In 1824, he erected an old stone courthouse which still stands today as part of downtown Murrysville. The town originally consisted only of about forty homes and businesses. It grew rapidly during the late nineteenth century due to increased trade with surrounding counties and increased immigration from Europe. By 1900,murrysville had over one thousand residents and several dozen businesses including breweries and stores selling everything from groceries to hats and gloves. The population continued to grow until World War II when it fell victim to waves of European migration that devastated much rural America
