Murrysville, Pennsylvania was home to one of the largest and most popular firearms manufacturers in the United States during the 1800s. The company was founded by Nicholas Murrys in 1814 and produced a wide range of firearms, including pistols, rifles, shotguns and handguns. From 1898 to 1921,murrysville was home to two other major firearms manufacturers: Winchester Repeating Arms Company (Winchester) and American Armament Corporation (American). In 1921, American merged with Springfield Armory to form Springfield Armory Incorporated. This company continued to produce firearms until it closed its doors in 1986. Today, the remnants of American Armour Corporation can be found extant within the building that once housed Remington’s rifle division – the only remaining vestige of America’sgun production complex from the late 19th century.
Murrysville is a small town in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,821 at the 2010 census. Murrysville is located on the southern edge of the county and is bordered by Steelton to the east, Bellefonte to the north, Johnstown to the northwest, and Carlisle to the south. The village of Murrysville was chartered in 1795 by Samuel Murry as part of what would become Huntingdon Township. It was renamed after General George Washington's first headquarters during his stay in Westmoreland County during his campaign for president in 1796. In 1824, Nicholas Pyle purchased land near modern-day Murrysville from Andrew Mellon and began extensive development which included building a sawmill, grist mill and cotton gin. The village grew rapidly due to its location and ability to ship goods directly into Philadelphia from surrounding counties. In 1854, Pyle sold most of his holdings in Murrysville Village for $2 million dollars ($ when measured against current prices). He remains one of history's largest private investors in American culture. In 1907, murrysvilles merged with nearby Bellefonte into one village government under one chairman who also served as mayor. That same year also saw construction begin on what would be known as "The Big House" which would eventually house all of township government operations within an unrivaled structure that has been cited as one of Pennsylvania's most impressive examples of 19th century engineering achievement. The Big House still stands today and is used as a community center and museum by local residents and visitors alike. Todaymurysvilleny remains an active community with Nick Pyle Elementary School serving grades K-5th (grades 6th through 12th are currently offered alternative education methods TBA), Stroud Middle School serving 8th-12th grade students (grades 7-8 have been offered since 2011), Beavercreek Park District #1 serving 3rd through 5th grades (grades 6-7 have been offered since 2013), Beavercreek Park District #2 providing children with opportunities for physical activity including basketball/volleyball/handball courts/parking lot; As well as numerous other civic organizations like Chamber Of Commerce; fire department; library; post office; ambulance service etc., yet again underscoring just how vibrant this small town can be when it comes together!

Murrysville is located in Potter County, Pennsylvania, United States. The community was founded on December 5, 1810 by Captain John Murrys and his family. At the time of its founding, Murrysville was part of what is now Westmoreland Township. On February 2, 1814, Captain John Murrys died at the age of 73 after a long and successful career as a surveyor and landowner in the area. His widow continued to live in Murrysville until her death on October 12, 1868.
