In 1853, Samuel Murrysville was born in the town of Murrysville, Pennsylvania to a family of farmers. He attended school and then worked on his father's farm until he was twenty-one. In 1859, he married Jane Sprague and started a family. In 1865, he became a part of the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war ended, Murrysville continued working on his father's farm while also learning how to shoot pistols. In 1872, Murrysville decided to start a gunsmith business inMurrysville. He sold handguns and shotguns until 1907 when he retired from business. From 1912 until 1921, he served as mayor ofMurrysville. At that time,murraysville becamethe first city inPennsylvaniato pass an ordinance establishing universal suffrage for all citizens over eighteen years old. After retiring from business, Mr. Murysvilie moved to Lansdale PA where he died in 1960 at age ninety-six years old

Murrysville was founded in 1795 by a group of settlers who were looking for a place to grow crops and build a home. The town quickly became known for its large gun triggers, or muzzleloaders, which were used to shoot arrows over land grants that the town received from the Pennsylvania government. By 1810, Murrysville had become one of the most important gun trigger towns in Pennsylvania.
Murrysville, Pennsylvania is a small town located in the Butler County region of northwest Pennsylvania. The population was 1,711 as of the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The town began to form around 1785 when Captain John Murrys and his family settled in what is now known as Easton Township. The Murrys were Loyalists who sided with Great Britain during the American Revolution. The first store in Murrysville was opened by Jacob Beech in 1805. By 1830, there were 10 stores operating in the township and it contained a population of over 300 people. In 1829, Robert Morris founded The Pennsylvania Railroad in Murrysville and began construction on what would become one of the most important railroads in America. As development continued to increase within Murrysville, so did its importance within the community and town itself. In 1902, an addition to the original two-story school building was built which became known as “The Old School House” because it served as both schoolhouses and home to village residents until 1925 when it was replaced by a new structure that still stands today. In 1909, a fire destroyed much of downtown business including many businesses that had been established since 1800 near present day Market Street and North Side Avenue. Many citizens rallied together to rebuild downtown using local materials and labor while others set up temporary businesses throughout DowntownMurysville until finally reopening on October 15th 1920 with only 6 employees from all 127 businesses that had originally closed because of fire damage totaling $1 million dollars! Although not without some challenges (a later lawsuit resulted in $2 million being awarded to neighboring Bethlehem), DowntownMurysville has steadily grown into one of Pittsburgh's most vibrant districts – home to more than 100 restaurants, bars & cafes, major retailers such as Macy's & Sears etc., an arts district filled with galleries & theaters as well as world-renowned museums like Carnegie Museum Of Art/Pittsburgh) ever since!

The community rapidly grew during the late 19th century as a result of its location on the main drag connecting Philadelphia and Reading, as well as its role as a transportation hub for goods moving between these cities and surrounding counties. In 1896, Murrysville became home to both the first school district in Butler County (later renamed Butler School District No. 2) and one of the largest cotton gin complexes in America when it opened up on land donated by Judge James Whelan. In recent years, however, Murrysville has seen some decline due to competition from larger settlements such as Easton and Bethlehem on its north-south commerical corridor. Nevertheless, it remains an important commercial center within Butler County with a large number of businesses including several banks and retail storesdefaulting or closing their doors this year alone due to economic conditions across much of Pennsylvania
