Today murysvilletwo schools - one public and one private -a post office (1907), a fire station (1932), two churches (1892 & 1912)and several businesses including three banks (1915), four stores (1968-1998)and two factories have been preserved within the boundaries of the current town limits since they were founded or reorganized within their original locales during this time frame. In addition to these traditional facilities there are also several modern amenities available such as an ice rink (1985), two parks - One on Main Street which includes baseball diamonds and playgrounds for children as well as soccer fields for adults (.9 acres)and another located off US Highway 281 on State Road 8 about half way between Allentown and Morgantown which features portions of both football diamonds (.9 acres)as well as tennis courts (.5 acres). Additionally much development has taken place nearby such as: A brand new high school built in 2006 adjacent to Interstate 78; A shopping mall with more than 50 stores opened near Interstate 78 east of town; A large healthcare complex redevelopment project ongoing;And many other retail establishments that specialize in various types of business services including law firms, accounting firms etc.. It should be noted that while much Development has occurred recently many historic buildings still remain vacant or unoccupied due to lack of interest or zoning regulations

In 1824, John Murrys died and his wife continued to run the farm until her death in 1892. Through her widow's tenure, murysville became an important community center for nearby rural farmers. The first school in Murrysville was established in 1819 and soon became popular with local children because it offered educational opportunities that were unavailable elsewhere. In addition to its educational benefits, the school also served as a social center for residents of rural Pennsylvania during this time period. The house where the first school operated is still standing today and is used as a museum today. In 1898, Mrs. Anna Sayers donated land to form what would become known as Park View Cemetery. This cemetery has been serving interment purposessince then and is one of the most prominent features ofmurysville Township."
