Gun targets have been a part of the happy memories and exciting events of Munhall for many years. In 1857, Samuel Colt patented his revolver, which made it possible for people to target shoot. The first gun target was erected in what is now the park near themunhall church. Gun target contests were held here regularly until around 1940 when they were outlawed because of their potential to cause harm to others. In 1951, Munhall's first pistol range opened its doors and has been hosting shooting competitions ever since. Today, Munhall's gun targets are a cherished part of local history and enjoy regular visitors from all over the region.

Munhall, Pennsylvania is a small town in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. The population was 9,852 at the 2010 census. Munhall is located on the Susquehanna River east of Allentown and west of Bethlehem. The name "Munhall" means "place where man builds his home." The first settler in what is now Munhall was James Munsell who arrived in 1753. He built a log cabin on the site which still stands today. Other early settlers were William Hunter and Abraham Matteson. Munhall was chartered as a borough by Governor John Dickinson on March 15, 1784. It became a city on December 12, 1834 when it incorporated as a borough with a population of 10,000+. On October 5, 1907, it merged into the enlarged Allentown city government which has since been renamed Bethlehem City Government. The McConnell family have been living in Munhall for over 350 years and are considered to be among the longest continuously inhabited families in Pennsylvania dating back to 1681 AD! They are also one of only two families to have founded both Bethlehem (the other being the Smiths) and Allentown (the other being Jarman). Today’s generations continue this long history by maintaining close ties with their ancestors and their hometown through genealogical research - something that has helped keep Munhall alive as an important cultural center for Lehigh Valley residents and tourists alike!

In 1853, Julius Cockerill patented his first rifle using propellant powder instead of shot pellets—the first true repeating rifle. The design spread rapidly across Europe and America during the 1850s and 1860s, resulting in large numbers of artillery pieces being built with this new technology including cannons and rifles used by both sides in wars throughout history! These machinesgun type weapons could fire rounds continuously without reloading, making them powerful adversaries on battlefields!

Munhall, Pennsylvania is a small town in York County, Pennsylvania. The population was 3,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Munhall has been inhabited for over two hundred years and is one of the oldest towns in the U.S. The first settlers to arrive in what is now Munhall were Presbyterian missionaries from Scotland who founded a mission here in 1798. The town was named after Major John Munhall, an officer with General George Washington's army during the American Revolution. Munhall was also home to many important military families early on including those of General Andrew Pickens and Colonel Robert Ewing (the father of United States Senator Robert Ewing). In 1811, Captain John Wirt bought land here for $1,000 and began building what would become known as Wirt's Mills which quickly became one of the largest cotton plantations in North America. Wirt died young but his son James continued to operate this plantation until it was taken over by another man, Elijah Howe Sr., in 1829. After Howe’s death, control passed back and forth among various family members until it finally fell into receivership hands again when Representative Daniel Webster acquired it in 1840 following a legislative investigation into affairs at the plantation. During World War II Munhall played an important role as a Plantation Village located just outside its limits within Point Breeze Borough on Monongahela Bay Naval Air Station (also known as Point Breeze Naval Air Station-Monongahela) where strategic bombing raids took place against Japanese targets throughout New England during that conflict; both landings took place off Point Breeze Beach beginning on December 6th 1941 while Vice Admiral Husband Kimmel was Commanding General United States Fleet Operations Areas covering all points along Long Island Sound Between December 8th 1941 - January 7th 1942! Many residents still live there today aboard USS Mount Vernon Battleship moored at POINT BREEZE NATIONAL AIR STATION!
