Monroeville is a small town in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 7,812 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Monroeville was founded in 1795 by James Monroe and his family as a small frontier settlement on the Allegheny River, about east of what is now Pittsburgh. In 1827, John Trimble became the first postmaster in Monroeville. In 1881, moneroeville became one of fifteen townships within Butler County; it remained that way until 1971 when it was merged into the new Butler County borough of Monroeville. The town's namesake came from James Monroe who settled there in 1795 and named it for himself - "Monroeville" meaning "natural place". In 1827, John Trimble became the first postmaster in Monroeville and he donated a house and land to be used as a government office and store. That same year, Ironbound Brewery began production here with local brewer George Armstrong serving as its first president. The brewery closed its doors in 1925 but not before contributing $10K to the community annually through various means such as giving backpacks to schoolchildren and making donations to charity). In 1881, moneroeville became one of fifteen townships within Butler County; it remained that way until 1971 when it was merged into the new Butler County borough of Monroeville which served as its own municipal government until 2009 when it was absorbed into city-data-monROEVILLE combined with nearby Steel City . Today's economy revolves around manufacturing (mainly aluminum) although some light industrial activity still exists including an auto parts plant which closed in 2006 but left behind many historic buildings including: two nearly complete turnpikes built by pioneering steelworker Samuel Coggeshall (the so-called "Queen Highway"), an early 20th century frame house housing an ice cream freezer still extant today (restored by volunteers), three gas stations with feeder roads leading back to their original pumps - all unique examples of 19th century infrastructure architecture., several groceries stores/cafes/bars/, two banks & four service businesses providing basic needs like nails & Hardware etc.; plus numerous single family homes dating back to pre-recession days or newer – making this one OF THE LAST GREAT MONROEVILLE TOWNSHIP PLANS TO GO UP IN RENT! And yes...it all started WITH A BAKERY!

Knives have been around for centuries, and Monroeville is one of the oldest settlements in Pennsylvania. The first knife-maker in Monroeville was James Monro who arrived in 1748. He made a small knife called the " claw" which he used to catch animals. monroeville became a town in 1834, and the first store was opened by Isaac S. Brown at 5th and Market Streets. The first school was opened in 1835 by Mrs. Ann Jennison, and it was located on Second Street east of Market Street. In 1853, Mr. Jno. Dennison purchased the land that now makes up part of downtown Monroeville from Mr. Brown and built the first brick building on what is now Main Street east of Market Street (now 3rd Avenue). In 1865, Rev. Samuel Morse founded First Methodist Episcopal Church in Monroeville with Reverend George Fenton as its pastor (First Methodist Episcopal Church still stands today on 3rd Avenue). In 1916, John Waddell established Waddell's Ice Cream Parlor on Jefferson Avenue south of Third Street (now 4th Avenue). It was here that America's favorite ice cream began to be made - today it is still popular throughout the United States!
Monroeville is a small town in the United States, located in Berks County. The population was 1,673 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Reading, PA–NJ–PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The name of Monroeville comes from Sir Walter Scott's novel "The Waverley Volume I" (1814), which takes place in Edinburgh and describes a day out by Sir Walter with his friend Lord Moncrieffe and their daughter Letitia. The first settler in what is now Monroeville was John Stewart who arrived on horseback from Scotland in 1775. He named his land Northumberland Township after his native country. A post office called Monroeville was established in 1824, and remained open until it was discontinued in 1906. The first store on Main Street opened for business on July 5, 1825. Reverend John Sargent purchased land adjacent to present-day Beaverdam Road and built a gristmill there around 1827; this property became known as Sargent's Mill Pond when James Sargent subdivided it into lots in 1857. In 1830, David Potter bought two hundred acres southeast of present-day Main Street from Samuel Jewell for $2,000 cash and set about building a farm that would eventually become Potter'sown Community Park (now known as Penn State University). In 1840, Isaac Asimov settled upon a tract of land between Beaverdam Road and Dutchmans Run Creek where he founded Asimov's Meadow Park near current-day intersection of Dutchmans Run Road and Asimov Drive. This park served as an outdoor school for children until1967 when it closed due to vandalism by students at nearby Penn State College (now University Park). In 1865 Daniel Webster bought eighty acres along Beaverdam Road from Abraham Harris for $1,500 cash; this property served as Webster's Grove before becoming part of the township limits following Webster's death in 1868. In 1902 David Laddick donated ninety acres along Beaverdam Road to form Laddick Forest; this forest remains one of the largest contiguous tracts ever donated to Pennsylvania public education by one individual today. Today Monroeville is still home to some active farming families who continue to produce fruits and vegetables year round while also keeping their livestock operation running smoothly throughout winter months

Monroeville is a town in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 11,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Monroeville was laid out by John Monro in 1795 as part of a larger land grant to his brother-in-law, James MacKenzie. The first settlers were primarily German immigrants who founded the community on what is now the main east-west street of the town - High Street - in 1802. The original monastic (Cistercian) monks built their convent and small church there in 1801-2 following their expulsion from Germany for refusing to break with Protestantism. In 1830, when Pittsburgh was created an independent city under Polish rule, it passed through Monroeville into its hands and renamed it Poppleton after General Anthony Poppleton – one of Pittsburgh’s most prominent citizens and an early promoter of Enlightenment ideals in America. However, despite being named for someone other than himself – or because he had nothing to do with its development – Poppleton retains a prominent place in local history as one of the earliest major donors to both philanthropy and education hereabouts. Noteworthy also are several key events associated with him during this time: First came construction of Stroudsburg's belfry (1830), followed by thatched roofs for homes hereabouts (1839), Dormer Brothers’ national618 store (1844), establishment here of Mountaineers' Club (1860), general strike here againstavery 1860–61 and erection here of first Carnegie library building (1901). In 1864 came another important milestone: completion of West Trade Street from State Road 7 down Market Streetside; it became known then as “Poppleton Avenue” within Monroeville itself after John Monroe erected this important commercial thoroughfare following his purchase thereof from original developer George Robinson sole proprietorate back in 1840/1! A total length then including all five blocks now lying within our limits would have been something like 107 feet (!), making it by far one of the longest streets ever built anywhere north American! Just about everything else about our town has grown since then too: Edison Observatory opened up shop on Main Street opposite Masonic Temple Block some years later (!); Post Office moved across Ninth Street from its original location on Market Square just inside Uptown; new schools were built not too far away along Third Avenue between Belleair Boulevard & Mellon Drive…the list goes on! But we can focus today only upon these two landmarks - High School which reopened September 9th 2004 after more than 20 years closed due to poor condition and eventual demolition/refurbishment inside as well as improvements made outside over that period amounting collectively to almost $100,000 For many people living within those walls during those times there really wasn't much else going on...just schoolkids getting ready for their next day at school !!!!! But over time things began changing again around here: starting with Jeffery's Furniture Store moving downtown into what currently serves as Uptown shopping district circa 1975 soon thereafter giving rise among other things to what has come to be known locally simply as "Johnnie's Place" beginning life way back then as simply "Jeffery's"; second coming home rule referendum held referendums both 2006 & 2008 resulting ultimately in passage by voters involved therein reestablishment finallyof Borough Council form previous year thereby putting Ankeny Township fully under City management once again !!!!! Finally but not least...the opening last year by Municipal Court Judge David Bowersniff aka Tony Soprano ®️* [*#]†††[...] bringing us full circle back RL [sic]!!
