Bipedalism is a form of locomotion in which an organism moves using two legs instead of one. The first bipedal animals were probably the four-limbed anteaters, which walked on two legs with their front limbs propelling them forward. The first bipedal humans are thought to have evolved from early primates about 25 million years ago. Monroeville was home to the first documented bipedal human, who appeared in 1825.

Monroeville is a small town in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,387 at the 2000 census. Monroeville is located in the eastern side of the borough of Monroeville. It is bordered to the north by Hays Township and to the east by Clairton Borough. According to the 2010 census, its total area is 362 square miles (814 km²). The name of the town comes from John Monroe who purchased some land here in 1784. The first settler was Captain John Swartzell who arrived in 1785 and built a cabin on what is now Main Street. He named it Monroe after his friend and patron Sir James Moncrieffe who also resided in this area at that time. Captain Swartzell's original cabin still stands today on Second Street just east of Center Street in downtown Monroeville. The early pioneers were farmers with many crops grown such as corn, beans, peas, wheat, oats and potatoes; however there were also a few tin mines dug here and there but no regular trade until 1824 when Buffalo Bill Cody came through town on his way to open up oil wells near Titusville. All these people or their descendants have been important residents ever since! About 1800-1830 most families lived close together outdoors on five acres each so farming wasn’t very important as it became later when neighbors started renting out lots for farmsteads which soon grew into villages with about fifty people each during 1800-1920 – mostly Protestants although Catholics had their own village too! In 1920 all these villagers got together under one roof form what we now know as “Monroeville Township” which began its official years October 6th 1920 thru February 14th 1933 when our present Borough Mayoralty took office! The main reason why we are called “Monroeville” today because it actually originally was two separate villages: Clairton & Hays Twp., but they merged due to lack of evidence that anyone really wanted them separatly anymore LOL In 1825 George Washington helped start up a post office here with three mail carriers serving four different towns within a radius including Clairton then Hays township then back around 1830 all those communities had their own Postmasters/Masters helping out with running things like stores/lawn care etc.–sortof like our present day City Hall employees but back then everyone worked for themselves instead of bossing everyone around–and I assure you if you could get an appointment with any one of them they would have given you an answer right away without even asking 😉 Today if you want to talk to someone about anything local they are more than happy to help though😊 Throw off your current street address & they will give you an exact map listing all those community Post Offices along with their contact info—- definitely worth giving a try especially if you live outside of town or are confused about where everything goes nowadays 😉 It seems like every farmer has at least 2 kids working hard on their farm today too!!! We sure do miss those days when everyone just relied on nature rather than manmade products haha! Back then life wasn’t easy either; sometimes good things happen while other times bad things happen so it was always interesting watching how events unfolded………especially living smack dab in between both sides 🙂

Monroeville is a village in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in Monroeville was Nicholas Monroe, who arrived in 1776 and named his land "Moroeville" after his brother-in-law, James Monroe. A post office operated here from 1814 to 1847. In 1893, the town became a borough and then a city in 1907. During World War II, Monroeville served as an airfield for the U.S.AAF during the Battle of Britain; later it became home to Allegheny County's only mental hospital (now known as Mount Lebanon Hospital). In recent years, Monroeville has experienced growth in its commercial sector with many new businesses opening up around the Village Center including several restaurants and small shops along Second Street which have generated much interest from residents and visitors alike.
Monroeville was founded in 1795 by John Monro. It became a borough in 1868 and a city in 1903.
