In 1892, Lansdale was founded by brothers Isaac and Jacob Lansdale. They were farmers who started a trading post on the Susquehanna River in what is now Lansdale. The post served as a junction for trade with nearby Easton and Allentown. In 1924, the company that would become Browning & Stevens began selling firearms here. Over time, the business grew to include rifle, shotgun, Pistol and Pistol Ammunition businesses. In 1969, Browning & Stevens merged with Adler & Mannlicher to formBrowning-Adler Incorporated (BAI). Lansdale is a small town located in the state of Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 8,514 at the 2010 census and it is the second most populous municipality in Beaver County after Altoona. Lansdale's history dates back to 1795 when a group of Englishmen named Lansdale settled on a hilltop in what is now Lansdale Township. The first post office was established in this township on November 3, 1814. In 1825, the township was divided into two precincts and one of those precincts, which became Lansdale Township, became an independent borough status within Beaver County in 1908. Lansdale is known for its agricultural production and has been called "the most important center for cheese making in northeastern Pennsylvania." The town also produces apples, pears and other fruits and vegetables. Some of the early settlers who founded Lansdale were John Beattie (1794-1868), George Beattie (1796-1872), James Fenton (1800-1872), Alexander Macdonald (1800-1881) and Jacob Armstrong (1798-1860). Today's residents are descendants of these pioneers who made their homes here during the late 19th century and early 20th century. The area that nowincludes Lansdale was first inhabited by Native Americans; however, there are no clear evidence to support any claims that they ever built permanent settlements here. There is evidence from archeological findings that groups of men did visit this area sometime between 4000 BC -2500 BC but no specific evidence exists to suggest they erected any structures or cultivated crops here. It's possible that these visitors were members of migrating bands or traders looking for new land to explore or trade with while they awaited developments along their route southward from central Canada. It wasn't until following European arrival around 1700 AD that anyone began conductingcommerce through what would become Lansdale Township proper – primarily via water routes running northward from Philadelphia through Lackawanna County towards Yorktown Heights on Long Island Sound where goods could be unloaded onto ships at then Dutchman’s Bay before continuing onward upriver towards New York City/ BrooklynNJ etc.. This process known as “ inland trade” helped lay the foundation for many future businesses including banks/finance companies/manufacturing plants etc., which continue to operate today without interruption thanks to modern transportation technologies! Once again we can thank our ancestor’s willingness to take risks(both literal & figurative)in orderto improve what might have otherwise been a difficult journey! After years of growth both within township boundaries as well as across Beaver County due largely to investment by numerous entrepreneurs – both Irish immigrants coming overland via Baltimore MD as well as Germanophone families fleeing Germany during World War II – it should come as no surprise then that much higher densities were attained relatively quickly throughout much eastern PA following World War II; indeed many parts of Eastern PA still maintain levels of dense population density much above historical norms even though outside forces have played an increasing role since then!!! Dense populations often lead not only To better economic outcomes but quality public services too!!! And thats just fine with me…..

Lansdale is a town in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,811 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Scranton–Wilkes-Barre, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lansdale has been inhabited by the Lenape Native Americans for over two hundred years and their territory included what is now Lansdale Township and much of present-day Scranton. After the Revolutionary War, the area became part ofsylvania as a result of the Treaty of Paris. In 1795, General George Washington's army rested at Mansfield on Delaware River; General John Forbes' brigade camped there that night. The next morning, Forbes discovered an Indian village situated on a hill near where Lansdale now stands - he called it "Mansfield Ford". The first settler in what would become Lansdale Township was Abram Biddle in 1798. He built a cabin on Beaver Creek betweenpresent-day Diamond Hill Road (now US 7) and Springvale Road (now Ridge road). A post office was established at Beaver Dam in 1802, and named after Biddle. The first store opened in 1812 at present-day Monroeville Shopping Center on Ridge road east of present day Lansdale High School; this store was also known as "The White Eagle." In 1815 Isaac Horseshoe erected a small log structure known as "Horseshoe Tavern" near present day Washington Park which served as the township's first courthouse from 1800 to 1818 when it moved to nearby Easton Courthouse until its own building burned down in 1901. In 1825, Samuel Welsh purchased all but one acre (0.40 km²) of what would become Lansdale Township from John Hanna for $500 cash plus four cows and six hogs which he had bought from Hanna’s brother Daniel around 1800 at an auction site near Bethlehem north of Nowata Lake Erie about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia/Scranton along current US 27 & PA Route 11A Welsh laid out his new township with streets running east to west along Beaver Creek before naming it after himself – "Welshstown". Welsh had earlier founded Mechanicsburg northeast of Mechanicsburg on Long Island Sound in 1794 while serving as captain general under Virginius Clinton during America’s successful effort against British forces under Cornwallis during the War for Independence Washington Square developed near intersection of Present Day Diamond Hill Road & Springvale Rd., south side lot currently occupied by Northside Drugstore
Lansdale is a borough in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Allentown-Easton-Carlisle, PA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first permanent settler in Lansdale was John Sikes in 1784. He and his family built a log cabin on land bought from Samuel Weiser. In 1821, the three towns of Easton, Bethlehem and Northampton merged to form Lansdale Township. Presbyterian minister David Clarkson served as the town's first mayor and postmaster from 1826 until his death in 1847. In 1865, two brothers by the name of Snively erected a small frame building on what is now Lansdale Avenue to serve as their home while they traveled throughout Lehigh County preaching Christianity to Native Americans. The house still stands today as part of the Historical Museum of Bethlehem Township which opened its doors in 1994 adjacent to South Mountain Park (now State Street). The township was renamed Lansdale Borough on February 10th, 1966 after former president George H.W Metzger who had donated $10 000 for the purchase of land for a new borough hall and park located at 5200 Union Avenue within the boundaries of current day Lansdale Borough limits that would become known as Metzger Park
