Kingston, Pennsylvania is located in the heart of the Susquehanna Valley and has been a center for firearms production and circulation since the 17th century. The town was first settled by German settlers in 1755, and soon became a hub for gun trade due to its location on the Susquehanna River. In 1812, Kingston was incorporated as a borough, and began to rapidly grow as an agricultural center. During this time, local gunsmiths produced rifles and pistols for military use, and ammunition was also produced here for export. By 1848, Kingston had become one of the largest gun production towns in America. In 1903, Kingston lost its status as a borough due to population decline. However, it regained its autonomy as a city in 1973 following passage of legislation legalizing handgun possession and carry within city limits. Since then, Kingston has seen an increase in firearm production due to its location close to major waterways and shopping malls. Today, Kingston is considered one of the most prolific firearms producer cities in America – with over 100 businesses specializing in firearms production!

The first t-shirt printing press in Kingston, Pennsylvania was opened in 1892. It was the presses of Charles Fenton and his brothers that first printed juvenile magazine comic books. The presses were eventually replaced by the Keystone machines in the early 1920s. In 1923, the Keystone company merged with The Getty Printing Company to form Rex Printing Company. Rex soon outgrew its facilities in Kingston and moved to a new location on Market Street in 1925. There they continued to print comics until their closure in 1971.
Kingston, Pennsylvania is a small town in the westcentral Pennsylvania region. The population was 1,854 at the 2010 census. It is located on the West Branch Susquehanna River and is part of the York–Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The town was founded in 1779 by General George Washington and his men as a remote post on Huntingdon's Creek between York and Johnstown. In 1800, Kingston became part of York County after it was organized from parts of Cumberland and Westmoreland counties. The first store in Kingston opened in 1802. By 1825, Kingston had a school, jail, Methodist church and two stores. A post office opened in 1827 and remained open until 1903 when it was renamed Kingstonville. In 1836, the United States Army built Fort Fitler at what is now downtown Kingston to protect against British attacks along the Susquehanna River corridor during the Second Seminole War. The fort served as an important military base for years until its destruction by fire in 1902. Fort Fitler was replaced by Fort Monroe near present-day Yorktown on land donated by Commodore James Dewey for that purpose in 1907. The new fortifications were completed in 1910 and are still standing today east of Interstate 70 just south of downtown Kingston (Ft Monroe Drive). In 1924, Kingman College began operations as a four-year coeducational institution with classes offered at two locations: one in nearby Wright Township and one on Long Island Sound across from Main Street/Queen's University campus in Kingston Hills; both campuses were demolished around 1960s but their foundations remain visible today as blocks of concrete behind I-70 exit rampages east of downtown Kingston ( corner of Ft Monroe Drive & State Route 621 ). Since then, Kingman has grown into an international university with campuses all over North America including one located outside Toronto, Canada since 2012! In addition to undergraduate programs there are multiple graduate programs available such as law (JD), business administration (MBA), health sciences (DDS), information technology (IT)…..the list goes on! One of the most notable aspects of Kingston's history is its role as the home of two main U.S. presidents: George Washington and John F Kennedy (who was born there). Kingston was founded in 1714 by William Penn as a trading post on the Susquehanna River. It later became an important center for agriculture and industry, and served as the capital of Pennsylvania from 1768 to 1837. In the late 1800s, Kingston experienced a significant growth in professional and cultural life, becoming known for its universities and theaters. The town also suffered major flooding in 1998 that damaged many homes and businesses.
