Johnstown, PA is a small town in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,711 at the 2010 census. Johnstown is located on the Susquehanna River and is close to Scranton and Wilkes-Barre. The town was founded by settlers in 1788 as an agricultural community on the current site of Johnstown.
