The history of the Johnstown Gun Slings is a long and complex story that has been told by many people over the years. The first gunslingers in Johnstown were probably prospectors who traveled to the area during the early 1800s looking for natural resources. As gun-ownership began to spread throughout America, individuals started to arm themselves for protection against other individuals or groups of people they didn't agree with. In 1837, six men from Ohio left Johnstown on horseback and headed westward into what is now Colorado. They were looking for new land to settle and found some areas that could be worked, but they also discovered black gold near Gunnison Pass. This discovery led to increased interest in rifle shooting in western Colorado and eventually eastern Kansas. By 1845, a small community had formed around Johnstown due to its location, safety features, and easy access to firearms. However, because gun owners did not have background checks back then, many accidents happened which made it difficult for residents to find work or buy groceries. In 1865, when the Union Army invaded Tennessee during the American Civil War, most of the town was destroyed by firebombing raids conducted by Confederate forces. While some people managed to escapeburning alive – including one man who hid inside a barn – most of the town was lost including all of its guns and ammunition. Gun slinging resumed in earnest after the war as a way for local farmers and hunters to bring their weapons into town so they could shoot any animal they saw. It wasn’t until 1907 thatJohnstonians voted in favor of having their own city government Gun slinging continued at an informal level until 1908 when state legislation passed allowing municipalities within Pennsylvania without City Charter authority (like Johnsontown) To pistol whip all citizens over using pistols without Due Process rights! Citizens revolted at this unconstitutional invasion of their Liberty! The Mayor vetoed this bill citing his fear that such regulation would prevent lawful gun Owners from being able to protect themselves from criminals!!! Eventually this law was repealed due more gunfire than fishing! In 1911 there was another devastating terrorist attack on our city center killing 14 people….. again!!!!! Gunslingers responded quickly with rampages across our capitol building resulting in 3 fatalities…. A state trooper shot & killed 4 attackers whilstsaving 15 civilians….. finally things calmed down &Ordinance No 9595 Prohibition Against Firearms Begun

Johnstown is a small town in McKean County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,716 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of McKean County and the home to Johnstown Steel Works. Johnstown is located on the Susquehanna River and its downtown is surrounded by one of the largest open-air markets in America. The first settlers to what is now Johnstown were Scottish immigrants who arrived in 1798. They built a log cabin near where they now live and named it "Johnstown." By 1825, more than 50 Scotsmen had settled here and built a sawmill, gristmill, brewery, hotel, schoolhouse, and other structures. In 1829–1830 three brothers founded the village of Johnstown on land donated by James Fenton. The men developed a market economy with their millinery business becoming very successful. In 1859 Uniontown was established as a separate village adjacent to Johnstown but it soon lost importance following steel production at JSTL which began operations in 1860. In 1863 when Gettysburg became an important Civil War battlefields surrounding the town were fought (and later still) many soldiers died from wounds sustained there including General Robert E Lee’s forces during his fight for control over Shenandoah Valley; however no battle or massacre took place within or around Johnstown specifically due to that event taking place some miles away at nearby Winchester Junction where Union troops under General Ulysses S Grant routed Confederate troops under General Joseph Johnston on July 3rd 1865 after almost five days of fighting beginning late Tuesday evening June 27th 1865). In 1901 local entrepreneur Samuel Waddell opened up what would become known as Waddell’s store which became one of America’s leading retail destinations selling everything from groceries to clothing until it closed down in 1984 due primarily to competition from Walmart who purchased most of Waddell's assets less than two years later! Johnston & Sons Brewing Company active since 1886 left behind over 1 million barrels of beer produced here throughout its various brands including Keystone light lager (Johnston's favorite), Keystone dark lager (popular among military personnel during World War I/II), Heineken light beer (ampioned by president Franklin D Roosevelt), Schlitz Patriotic stout (now part of Anheuser Busch InBev) as well as numerous others! With such prolific brewing history an extensive museum complex has been erected adjacent to city limits vacant since 2002 consisting largely of abandoned buildings dating back over 100 years making this one OF THE LARGER AND MOST COMPLEX BREWING MANUFACTURERS IN AMERICA – yes even larger than Pittsburgh’s PNC Bank!

Johnstown is a town in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 9,895 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Johnstown was founded by Scots-Irish colonists in 1795 as an agricultural community on the Allegheny River. In 1827, it became the first permanent English settlement in what is now Butler and Fayette counties when settlers from Cumberland County arrived to operate a mill there. The mill closed in 1893 but left behind a lasting legacy: Johnstown's nickname "The City of Brotherly Love" comes from this fact. The city's scores of churches and buildings remain testimony to its popularity as a religious center during the 19th century. Johnstown was laid out on February 16, 1795, by James White and others under section 8 of township No. 2northwest of the mouth of the Monongahela River; it contains 6 acres (2 hectares). On July 15, 1800, part of Johnstown east of Main Street was taken up with that portion of Delaware Township lying north thereof which had been divided between them by survey between Colonel Abraham Stroud and Major General Amos Kendall; this made total 26 acres (11 hectares). By 1827 about one-third of white residents were Irish Americans while two-thirds were German Americans who came primarily seeking land for farming purposes rather than trade or investment opportunities In 1828, after years working on his family farmstead near present day South Parkville in Butler County - he inherited 3/4 acre (190 m²) from his father - George Washington Carver moved to Johnstown with his wife Elizabeth Hecker Carver to start a food production business which would become one of America’s most significant agricultural companies ever established They named their farm “CarVER” after President George Washington Carver himself In 1840 they added another 3/4 acre (190 m²) to their holdings when they purchased 581 acres (248 ha) including parts of what are now Northumberland Township and feldspar quarries at Mount Pleasant The great American maize grower Isaac Norris also started operations here some time before 1850 By 1860 over 60% all corn grown in Pennsylvania was processed here although only 4% marketable product remained After emancipation many freedmen began moving into rural areas where land could be available , such as Johnstown
