Pepper spray is a type of firearm that uses pepper gas to disrupt or terminate actions or speech. Pepper spray was first developed in the early 1800s as an effective way to disperse crowds and protect officers during riots. The original pepper spray cartridges were created from shotgun powder and kerosene, which gave it a short life span. In 1892, a new type of cartridge was designed that could be fired with less recoil; this led to the development of pepper spray as a general-purpose weapon. Pepper spray is now used by law enforcement officials around the world for various purposes, including crowd control, self-defense, and protection against terrorism.

Indiana, Pennsylvania was one of the thirteen original United States of America. The area now known as Indiana was part of Ohio and it first became a separate state in 1816 when the Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolutionary War. In 1827, Indiana became a territory of Illinois and in 1839, it became a state when the Indian Removal Act was passed by Congress. The act forced many Native Americans to leave their ancestral lands and move to what is now Oklahoma and Arizona. The history of Indiana begins with its founding as part of Ohio. In 1795, during the Northwest Indian Wars, British troops invaded Ohio and destroyed much of the eastern half of the state. This caused about 350 settlers, primarily German-speaking pioneers, to migrate westward into what is now Indiana Territory. These men built homes at Vincennes (now Evansville) and Terre Haute (now Terre Haute). By 1800, there were over 1,000 Germans living in Indiana Territory. In 1816, when Kentucky successfully seceded from Virginia and joined the new United States of America, most southeastern Ohioans decided to follow suit. East Tennessee also seceded from Virginia that year so on November 3rd, 1816 – two days after Kentucky’s secession – Indiana became a separate Ulysses S Grant County in central Illinois under Territorial law No 1(1820). On December 10th following legislative approval for this change via an act entitled An Act for Establishing certain Districts within said County viz., Clinton Township & Dunkirk Township & parts thereof eastward; these districts were thus forever attached to incorporated Kankakee County adjoining Chicago & making it one county’s extent; this event being duly noticed by John Quincy Adams who then resided at Vincennes aforesaid having been made President by Lincoln on April 6th last Aptd Term Commenced The first white person ever recorded in Lafayette County was Anthony Wayne born c1790 near present day Mount Pleasant Inn Road in Wabash County while his father Prentiss Wayne worked as an enslaved African laborer on a farm owned by James Caldwell Sr.. According to legend Anthony Wayne's great-grandfather fought with General George Washington at Yorktown before moving westward with his family some time prior to 1794 when he settled near Wabash River where they operated a ferry service across until 1800 or so according to various sources including “A History Of Butler County" written by JF Payne published 1970 which notes: "It seems unlikely that any such story could be true since Anthony Wayne would not have moved far enough westward for his ancestor Gouverneur Morris' forces even though he may have served them personally".

The first Europeans to visit the area now known as Indiana and Pennsylvania were traders and missionaries from Spain. In the 16th century, English explorers discovered the land that is now Indiana and Pennsylvania. The first European settlement in what is today Indiana was at Fort Dearborn on the Potomac River in 1564. The second European settlement in what is today Pennsylvania was at Reading on the Delaware River in 1681.
