In 1826, Hazleton become the capital of what would become West Virginia. As West Virginia became more industrialized, guns began to be needed for protection in addition to farming and manufacturing. In 1856, the US Congress passed the National Firearms Act which made it illegal to own any gun without a license. This law caused many people in Hazleton to arm themselves with handguns in order to protect themselves from potential federal agents or violence outside their community. After Union victory during the American Civil War, many civilians turned back towards agriculture as war ended and Reconstruction began. However, there was still an demand for arms among local militia groups who continued using handguns for self-defense until well into the 20th century. Today, firearms are still an important part of Hazleton’s culture and history – both legal and illegal – as they play an essential role in its economy and society today.

Hazleton is a small town in Perry County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,531 at the 2010 census. Hazleton is the home of Hazleton Area High School and Furniture Mart. The first settler in Hazleton was John Hoffman from Wexford, Ireland in 1795. He and his wife Sarah established a log cabin on what is now State Road 516 west of downtown Hazleton. In 1814, Isaac Wright settled nearby and developed a mill which he built on the stream that flows through town. By 1827, both men were dead and their mills had ceased operation. However, the name "Hazleton" originated withwright's mill which still stands today as a private residence and museum. In 1829-30, German immigrants led by Johann Gottlieb Schneidemüller founded the home industries of agricultural implementsmiths at 15th & Market Streets in Hazleton; these companies became known as Schneidemüller & Sons (later simply Schneidemüller). services such as grocery shopping for local farmers continued to be provided by independent peddlers until about World War II when grocery stores came into being around this time also along with other businesses including an insurance agency and post office which are all still extant today within the limits of Hazleton proper even though most have moved away since then! This early history can be seen in some of the buildings that remain today in town center such as The Hermitage hotel/motel (now B&B), First National bank building (now Target), Presbyterian church (now Stroudsburg Bible Institute), Hazletonshire Courthouse (1912), Second National bank building (now Dupont Circle Building) etc... These examples show that despite changes over time there has always been a strong community spirit hereabouts! A few years after moving to town from Scranton I started working odd jobs for my father to help pay for school tuition for my little sister who was 10 years old back then(said sister later married an American). A jobbing system worked where different families would send one boy or girl to work during harvest season picking apples or picking strawberries etc... It wasn't long before I got interested myself so I quit school to go work odd jobs instead! After getting educated at night class my parents finally found me another position doing odd jobs while they took care of our children too so we could actually afford college!! That's when it really hit me how lucky we were because if it hadn't been for those good grades during high school I'm sure we would've gone right out into society without any opportunity whatsoever! So education is definitely not something people take lightly here anymore lol;;;;; needless to say thanks goes out to Mr./Mrs. Hoffman For giving us our chance! Schaefer since 1978 whose family has operated it continuously; First National bank building located at 15th Street & Market Place - Owned by Hana Fischbach since 1984 who currently operates it as Haverty's Department Store; Second National bank building located at 16th Street & Market Place - Owned by Maurice Kappe who currently operates it as Kappe's Hardware store; Masonic Lodge No 3 corner of 5teenth street and market place - Operated by David Sauerwald since 1951 who currently resides there; Methodist Episcopal Church located at 4th Street between State Road 516 and 7th Avenue - Operated by Rev.(Lenny) Becker since 1974 who currently resides there... And much more besides!!!

In 1847, General Winfield Scott issued his famous order to all American forces commanding them to don "a Helmet with a ball point pen" in order to record orders and keep commanders updated on troop movements. This order gave rise to the modern day firearm hat, which is still worn by many people today as a sign of honor or patriotism. One of the earliest firearms hats was made by Boston artist John Singer Sargent. He designed an outlandish Ferguson Rifle Hat which featured an elaborate cockade, feathers, and bells. The hat was sold for $2 per dozen and became very popular with soldiers during World War I. Sargent's designs continued to be popular well into the 1920s when he produced additional firearms hats including one featuring a spoked wheel for increased stability while firing handguns.

The first permanent settler in what would become Hazleton was John Denton in 1781. He built a cabin on the north side of the river for himself and his family. The first town meeting was held on November 6, 1787, to decide how to name the new town site. They came up with "Hazleton" after Major General Anthony Wayne's brigade who had fought at Battle of Guilford Courthouse during the American Revolutionary War. The city boundaries were changing frequently due to annexations and mergers until 1847, when it was united with neighboring Plainfield to form DuPage Township (later Cook County). In 1853 Hazleton became an independent municipality under its own charter which included features such as unicameral government and direct apportionment of taxes between cities and towns within their respective wards without representation by county commissioners or state legislators. In 1867 Hazleton voters adopted a new municipal Charter that provided for single-member wards within each city limits while still maintaining full township status; this change also reflected residents' desire for more self-government than local officials could provide under previous charters dating back to British colonial times when all municipalities were administered by county commissioners responsible only to Londoners enjoysing extraterritorial jurisdiction over specific parts of their empire (thus making them essentially powerless outside their own borders). Due largely to heavy timbermining operations conducted throughout much ofDu Page County during early 20th century and continued thereafter by mill owners seeking access to now high priced lumber resources near rural areas especially along Route 64 corridor; mills destroyed most buildings typical for 19th century small villages; brick output rapidly declined from 1850s through 1920s despite significant investment into infrastructure including water supply system, schools etc.; few people left town as result; few businesses survived into 21st century; virtually all remaining structures are either used or being restored as part of larger community redevelopment effort
