It is the fourth-largest city in Pennsylvania and the largest city within Harrisburg County. The earliest reference to Harrisburg can be found in 1277, when it was called "Pecoraro". In 1795, Lancaster County was formed from parts of Westmoreland and Cumberland counties; Harrisburg became its capital. The first post office opened in 1802, and the first school was built in 1807. By 1830, over 60% of all goods brought into or exported from Pennsylvania were through Harrisburg. In 1834, Abraham Lincoln visited Harrisburg for two days as part of his nationally televised presidential campaign before taking his final speech from Springfield Illinois on Monday night July 3rd . In 1855–56, during Andrew Johnson's second term as President of the United States (1865-1869), he made a series of visits to various points in eastern Pennsylvania including Harrisburg for stump speeches and meetings with local farmers about issues such as Reconstruction. That same year saw another significant event when a fire destroyed much of downtown business district including many stores that had been open for years prior to that date. ERNest Weems organized what would become known as First Presbyterian Church while living nearby on Market Street just east of 7th Street South which served as their meeting place until 1865 when they moved to what is now First Baptist Church across 7th Street South from Independence Hall/Museum
Harrisburg is a city in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 713 at the 2010 census. It is the capital and largest city of the Harrisburg–Carlisle metropolitan area, which has a population of 2 million people. In 1795, George Washington and his army moved through Harrisburg on their way to battle against British forces in Yorktown. The first permanent European settlement in what is now Harrisburg was founded by French traders on July 24, 1749, as Fort Duquesne. This site became the nucleus for what would become the town of Harrisburg. The first settler to arrive in what is now Harrisburg was John Lancaster from England who built a small cabin on land that he purchased from Nicholas Pennoyer de la Salle in 1751. Lancaster's cabin served as both a trading post and office until it burned down in 1802. The first school in what is now Harrisburg was established at Yorktown Academy on October 4, 1795 by Amos Dickson and teachers James Watt and Jonathan Edwards. The academy functioned as an all-female school until 1800 when it became coeducational with male students admitted into its classes starting with the second grade. In 1806, following William Penn's establishment of Pennsylvania as an independent state, Harrisburg became its capital and began to develop into an important transportation hub due to its location close to many major rivers and highways including the Susquehanna River Valley Parkway (now Interstate 81). By 1830, despite meager finances due largely to outside investmentul interest during President Andrew Jackson's terms of office – primarily from slaveowners – downtown had become one of the most thriving areas in America due to burgeoning business activity including hotels/motels/restaurants/pubs along main streets such as Market Street; banks; insurance companies; newspapers; breweries; mineral mines; lumber yards etc.; while also becoming increasingly homeaffording opportunities for many residents because they could no longer afford large rents or property prices within walking distance of central business district venues like Market Street or I-81 motorways like US 1 or PA 76. However during times such as Prohibition circa 1920 this rapidly gentrifying Downtown experienced significant vandalism culminating with numerous fires throughout 1933-1940 which destroyed much valuable architecture & infrastructureparticularly along Main Street caused by angry mobs frustrated over high taxes levied arbitrarily without justification thereby crippling local economy (& residences) again leading directly to high crime rates during later decades combined with rough handling by City Hall elected officials resulting today marked decline among overall community spirit especially among young adults generations raised here thruschooling & professional development programs In 1932 work began on building what would eventually become known as Central Square off then current Market Streets Northwest corner where proposed plans called for 3 stories tall Federal Building housing Public Works Department offices Mayor's Office upstairs & Theater below newly built Market Alley side street running between old Schoolhouse nearMarket Square (now Westmoreland Avenue) eastwardly bisected by new alley providing public open space between buildings several blocks long making possible future redevelopment forming center square today - groundbreaking ceremony held June 20th 1932 featuring speeches by Mayor Wagner Chairman Flood Director Homan Plumbers Local Union No 710 Merchants Association Truck Drivers Local No 930 Classified Employees' Benevolent Association

The first Holster Manufacturer to create a PDW-specific design was Webley & Scott in 1949 with their creation the Rangeman revolver holster. In 1974, Springfield Armory created what became known as an ankle holster utilizing alloy straps instead of nappa leather because they felt that this type of material presented too much risk during transport or use when carrying an extra weapon around constantly. A few years later, Glock introduced their first full-size pistol into the market with the Glock21 which featured an appendix grip which allowed holders to carry pistols unloaded along one side of their body without having them visible on either side like some other models did at that time
