Franklin Park is a small town in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,521 at the 2010 census. The name comes from the Franklin family who lived there for many years. The first settlers in what is now Franklin Park were James and Susannah Wise of Lancaster County. They founded a small farm there in 1798. In 1814, when Pennsylvania became a state, they bought 7 miles (11 km) of land east of their farm and laid out a town on it called "Wiseville." That town was eventually renamed "Franklin Park." The first store in Franklin Park was built by John Stephenson in 1868. It was Jardine's Clothing Store which later merged with Montgomery Ward to form Wards Corner Stores Inc., today's Macy's Incorporated. 2 other stores followed before the present one opened on December 16, 1908 as the "First National Bank" with $10 million in assets under management by James A. Forbes Sr.. That bank went bankrupt and closed its doors on October 15, 1910 after failure caused by over-spending during prohibition era which had made local businesses especially vulnerable to competition from national chains such as Sam's Club and Armoury Department Store

The first park area was donated by James Smith, who also donated the land for the nearby shopping center that stands today. Franklin Park has over 350 acres and is home to a variety of public and private facilities including a large pond, tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and a playground. It also features several hiking trails as well as an extensive tree-lined walkway that circles the entire park. The town grew around two flour mills located in what is now Franklin Park. In 1836, both mills were destroyed by fire and their productivity was lost forever. However, this didn't stop Franklin Park from continuing to thrive; it became a popular spot for local farmers to sell their products andrew milling flour until 1919 when it closed down again due to lack of competition. Today, you can find some remnant evidence of both mills in what are now streets within the town limits. In 1868, John Philip Sousa founded his own orchestra in Philadelphia which he called "John Philip Sousa's Philharmonic Orchestra." This orchestra performed at various venues throughout Philadelphia until 1893 when they moved to Cambridge (Middlesex County) where they remained until 1906 when they disbanded due to financial troubles. Though disbanding their orchestra wasn't really its downfall; it did lead to problems with otherPhiladelphia orchestras because Sousa's name had been mentioned frequently in those orchestras without any resultant playing or recordings being made under his name! After 1907 however, Sousa's music regained some popularity so his orchestral reformation began once more under his own name with concerts taking place all over Philadelphia through 1918 before finally disbanding again less than 2 years later due to dwindling finances once more... even though he had recorded many songs already! Today there are live performances occasionally occurring throughout Philadelphia under different names but always with Sousa's unmistakable sound!
