The Gun Mags History Museum in Franklin Park, Pennsylvania is the only museum of its kind in the United States dedicated to the history and preservation of gun magazines. The park was dedicated on July 4th, 1824, by John Adams. The first use of the current facilities at Franklin Park took place on October 14th, 1892 when it served as the home field for the American Association teamPhiladelphia Athletics. In 1916, Franklin Park became part of Philadelphia’s city government and underwent many changes including being re-landscaped with beautiful fountains and sculptures which still stand today. The current name given to Franklin Park is “The Blue Oval” because it once served as Municipal Stadium for both the American Association (1892-1916) and modern Philadelphia Phillies (2005-present). The history of Franklin Park can be traced back to its earliest days as part of colonial Pennsylvania territory. On December 7th, 1785, John Dickinson donated 1/4 mile square piece of land east of Market Street in what is now known as Independence Hall Square to provide public space near where he lived and worked while campaigning for independence from Great Britain in 1776. This donation represented one fifth of all that would be donated to help create what is now known as Independence Hall Square complex including much later additions such as First United States Capitol Building (1790), Second United States Capitol Building (1868), Independence Hall (1799), Federal Courthouse Annex (1901) and Tombs National Monument (1915). After independence was achieved on July 4th, 1783 – less than three months after Dickinson’s donation – General Washington ordered construction begun on new military barracks adjacent to Market Street called George Washington Barracks which were completed in 1788. At this time important civil officials such as justices OF THE PEACE AND JUSTICE Samuel Chase & James Wilson resided among these troops along with some 30 families who had been allocated lands westward along Third Street between Norristown Road and Piney Branch Creek just beyond present day Frankford Avenue within what are now known as Southwark Township northbound on Third Street & Jersey City Boulevard eastbound on Fourth street between Norristown Road & Piney Branch Creek across from present day Yorktown Heights neighborhood southbound on Yorktown Heights Boulevard westbound onto Jersey City Boulevard using Present Day Frankford Avenue grid location . In addition to Jefferson's original donation there were several others subsequent donations throughout Philadelphia during this period including: 2/3rd acre lot owned by Alexander Hamilton at 11st St., 2/3rd acre lot belonging to Thomas Mifflin at 3rd St., 1/2 acre lot belonging to Nicholas filament at 5th St., 1/2 acre lot belonging to Benjamin Rush at 9th St.. These early donations helped lay out much later parts surrounding Independence Hall Square complex including areas along Third Street between Norristown Road & Piney Branch Creek; Seventh Avenue between Broad Streets & Indiana Ave.; Southwark Township northeast corner comprising present day Frankford Avenue; Yorktown Heights northwest corner comprising present day Easton Village neighborhood; West Kensington neighborhood; Germantown; Roxbury Township; Allentown Borough Council Meeting Grounds located easterly bordering Perryman’s Run stream bed immediately southwesterly adjoining Philadelphiana hundred block bounded by Carpenterstown road southwesterly thence northerly through Springettsbury town line into Bethlehem borough limits . While these donations helped shape Delaware County around what is now known as Independence Hall Square complex they also left ample room for future growth since almost every inch or so that would be added would come with compensation from someone else already living or working within those boundaries at that time either through purchase or donation. This resulted in various parcels forming roundabout shapes like today’s Freedom Trail running roughly northsouthwest-eastwest inside newly formed IndependenceHallSquare Complex boundaries . As mentioned earlier each donation left plenty of open ground which eventually led directly or indirectly to further development within what we know today simply because people wanted something specific happen within their borders no matter how small or far away it might seem! One such example comes from Tryon Mansion located next doorto George Washington Barracks whichTryon family member Timothy Tryon bought in 1800 for $10,- resulting in Tryon Mansion becoming oneof America's most prestigious homespun residences well into 20th century . Another example comes from Strawberry Mansion off Chestnut Hill Rd just outside Of Center City Limits currently usedby Mayor Jim Kenney&CouncilmembersYvette Clarke&Carolyn Maloneyresidential units believed occupiedand possibly leasedout theretofore undetermined .. Upon expirationofthe35yearleaseholditwasinveigledintothe handsofPennsylvania State House historic preservation staff listing it under “Strawberry Mansion Historic Property” . One significant aspect about FranklinPark which has changed relatively little since its dedication 25 years ago is its usage by both professional sports teams playing their games there!
