Emmaus, Pennsylvania is a town of about 25,000 people located in the Susquehanna Valley near Philadelphia. It has had a gun culture for centuries and it is home to two of the nation's most famous gunsmiths - Samuel Colt and John Browning. The town also played an important role in the development of American firearms. Gun nuts have long fascinated Americans because they offer such a unique insight into our country's history and culture. Gun security has always been a top priority for many communities in America, but Emmaus was one of the first to take steps to protect its citizens from crime with guns. In 1851, when Emmaus became part of Pennsylvania, only men were allowed to own firearms and anyone over the age of 21 could buy handguns only from licensed dealers. This policy was designed to keep EMMAUS safe from criminals who would seek to purchase weapons on behalf of criminal gangs or other organizations. In 1861, when America seceded from Great Britain, many residents in Emmaus decided that independence should be represented by a local militia company called "The Sons Of Liberty." At this time, many Americans felt that firearms should not just be owned by individuals but utilized as part of an overall defense against British aggression. Accordingly, Emmaus started training its own Militia Company (later renamed "The Pioneers") and began arming itself with rifles and pistols. This action helped contribute to the success at Gettysburg which resulted in American victory over Confederate forces. After Union troops sacked Emaus' arsenal during the Battle Of Gettysburg (1862), school children brought back pieces of cannonballs that they had found hidden inside furniture! During World War II, gun control laws were changed inAmerica so that all civilians could now own guns without needing a license or having any background checks conducted whatsoever. This change was motivated byimerican concern that Japanese-Americans might be able to use their guns for attacking civilian targets if they were not closely monitored. However, this new law did not go far enough; after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 (the day before America entered World War II), President Franklin D Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066 which made it illegal for any US Citizen who was not related directly or indirectly to either military members or government officials who were assigned abroad (such as those working on Manhattan Project). As a result, virtually all civilians within range of Japanese-held areas became potential targets forattack while nationals living outside these zones remained largely unscathed...this situation continued until 1953 when President Harry Truman signed Executive Order 13422 which repealed Executive Order 9066

Emmaus is a small town in Butler County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 5,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Emmaus is bordered to the south by Butler County and to the east by Clearfield Township. The first settler in what is now Emmaus was John Palfrey, who came from Northumberland County in 1795. He erected a log cabin on West Main Street in 1810. Others soon followed, including James McGillivray and his brother John McGillivray Jr., who bought land around what is now Emmaus from George Washington Carver in 1833. The family built four churches: one on Elmira Road west of Center Street (1835), another on Southside Drive east of Market Street (1836-37), and a fourth on State Route 15 north of Market Street (1902). With rapid growth during the 1840s, families began purchasing additional land; by 1850 there were twenty-seven homes here. In 1868, Palfrey's grandson John Wickersham sold him seventy acres for $2 million – making him one of the first farmers in what would become Emmaus township – and added it to his holdings for $500 per acre ($40 per hectare). This made him one of the largest landowners in Butler County before passing away in 1922. The early pioneers were among some of America's original Quakers; they believed that religious observance should be private rather than conducted through governments or corporations. Some early settlers became so successful that their mansions still stand today – notable examples are Isaac Nourse and his son Elias Nourse II (the father's namesake) whoowned twelve homes between them between 1827 and 1895; also pioneer Drury Ladd who founded Stroudsburg Hospital nearby (now Duquesne University School Of Medicine). A number of these men later served as members or chairmen of local committees which developed county policies; such an example can be found with Elias Nourse III whose term as chairman from 1898 until 1902 saw strong representation for agriculture along with many other sectors within society such as industry/commerce/education etc.; he also chaired numerous committees which helped organized agricultural fairs throughout Butler County becoming an event which attracted thousands each year during its early years combined! In response to increased immigration during World War I - due not just to political unrest abroad but also pressure from American companies seeking workers on short notice - Emmaus constructed seventeeninfantry training schools across ButlerCounty using proceeds raised from alcohol sales taxes levied upon whiskey production statewide; these Schools trained over 6200 soldiers over three years beginning 1918-1920 alone! Many local residents graduated from these schools including farmers Sam Bassett and his sons Earle & Vernon Bassett Sr.; Pvt./Lt.(US Army) Alonzo Kalitta; Asahel Kosoff & Abraham Kosoff both captains/lieutenants USN serving WWII aboard USS "Pitcairn" & USS "Hickory" respectively… many more names remain unknown but this story offers an excellent glimpse into life prior to&during World War II!!

In 2003, after several shootings at schools in Connecticut that killed multiple people and injured dozens more, President George W Bush signed into law the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). This system requires all potential purchasers of firearms must be screened through a database before they can buy them. The aim of NICS is to improve public safety by reducing straw purchases – where someone buys a weapon without any criminal history – by increasing knowledge about potential criminals who may be using guns for crime purposes. Despite these efforts, gun violence has continued to increase throughout recent years.

Emmaus is a small town in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 805 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Altoona-Johnstown-Montgomery metropolitan area. Emmaus is located on PA 167 north of Altoona. The first settlers to the land that would become Emmaus were David and Solomon Purdy in 1784. They named their farm "Emmas" after one of their father's brothers, Emmas Purdy. A post office called Emmaus was established in 1807, and remained in operation until 1923. A mill built by Nathan Hale about 1825 powered by waterwheels became an important economic engine for the community during its early years; it closed in 1912. In 1887, John Fenton erected a log cabin as his home near what is now Main Street, which served as a meeting place for local farmers and mechanics from around the district until he sold it to developer Harry Hutton in 1929. Erected on top of this old cabin are two largestanding pines - one marking where Hutton's first grocery store stood and one marking where he erected his house later that year - both now members of the Pennsylvania State Museum System (PEMSA). Hutton's store operated intermittently until 1927 when he opened a larger building on present day Second Avenue east of Main Street which remain functioning as Diehl's Pharmacy to this day. The early days at Diehl's were very difficult: Aside from being incredibly cramped inside with no windows or air conditioning (which made things much more uncomfortable), there wasn't even running water available! However, thanks to perceptive owner Harry Diehl and management team including future Mayor Joe McGinnis (D), who played an instrumental role presiding over the establishment of Emmaus' first library in 1951 (!), today diehl’s offers shopping opportunities galore for customers browsing through its vast selection of books, CDs and DVDs! For many years following merger with nearby Buckeye Drugs & More (now US Drug Mart) back when main Stn was just 2nd Ave E/2nd Ave W & PA 267...I had my car pull over every time I went into dieHL’s because they had so much stuff!!! Nowadays if I go intodieHL’s without having something else planned I can usually find something good!! haHAHAHA
