The Dunmore Gun Case Company was founded in 1876 by J.P. Dunmore and his brother, Wm.H. Dunmore. The company was first located at 811 Second Street in DunMORE, Pennsylvania but moved to its current location in 1903. The company produced a wide variety of handguns including revolvers, pistols, shotguns, rifles and ammunition. In 1914 the company merged with the Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Dunmore Arms Company Incorporated (WDA). The WDA produced both hunting guns and military firearms such as the M1 Garand rifle and the Colt Single Action Army revolver. In 1966 WDA merged with American National Firearms Corporation (ANF) to become America's largest handgun manufacturer with over $2 billion in sales during that decade alone!Today the company produces a wide variety of handguns including revolvers, pistols, shotguns, rifles and ammunition under the brands Browning®, Ruger®, Springfield®, Smith&Wesson® and Sig Sauer® products lineups
