Butler is a small town in Pennsylvania, United States. It is the seat of Butler County and lies on the West Branch Susquehanna River. The population was 7,895 at the 2010 census. The name Butler comes from a Native American word meaning "place where you can make fire." The first settler in what is now Butler County was James Butler who arrived in 1784. He built a cabin on the banks of the Susquehanna River. In 1802, he married Sarah Prentice and they started a family. They farmed until 1830 when they decided to move to Ohio because of the cheap land there. James and Sarah's son John became an early settler in what is now Union Township. In 1836, he married Anna Maria Driggs and they moved to this location also known as Driggsville. After building their own home there for six years, they sold it and bought another home on High Street in 1849 which they called "The Grange". This house served as a schoolhouse from 1851-1857 before it was destroyed by fire; however, it still stands today as part of Butler University's campus history museum! In 1861, James Butler Jr., an artilleryman with Sherman's Division during World War I died at age 26 while serving with that unit near Kuttenberg Junction in Germany later that year after being wounded three times during combat over two weeks! That same year also saw one of America's most famous roadside attractions open its doors when General George Meade turned off US 20 just east of town – The Great Pennsylvania Roadshow! For many years, this event drew thousands of people to see military hardware displays and pioneer exhibits along US 20A opposite present day White Sands Lakefront Park! When World War II began (1939-1945), much activity took place within these boundaries including manufacturing by local companies such as JB Welding & Metal Fabricating Company Incorporated (later JB Wesson Firearms) which produced munitions for both belligerents; production by Bethlehem Steel Corporation (now Boeing Co.) at nearby Trumbull Arsenal responsible for making alloys used in aircraft parts; cattle ranching by local farmers supported by local hunters who fished and hunted big game throughout much of the war season - including numerous engagements with Axis forces along the West Branch Susquehanna River corridor; then following VE Day (April 6th 1945) following Japan's surrender unconditionally! Crossings were made into Canada through points nearpresent-day Lock Haven so large numbers could be repatriated without any paperwork or formalities required – something that would become increasingly common Following World War II ended majority U.S.-born residents left or were forced out due to various economic troubles unique to their region - some leading directly to concentration camps like those found near present day Delaware Junction!!!

In 1822, John Browning developed his own version of a pistol called a carbine which he use for hunting and personal protection. The carbine had a barrel about 32 inches long and weighed only 3 pounds when unloaded. It was able to fire up to 10 rounds per minute using 0.50 caliber bullets which was powerful enough to kill humans and animals at close range. In 1834, George Smith improved on Browning’s carbine by making it into what is now known as theSmith & Wesson Model 1836 revolver - one of the most common handguns in America today。 Smith & Wesson made this handgun available in eight calibers including .38 Special, .357 Magnum, 9mm Luger, .45 ACP ( Colt Detective Carbines), 10mm Parabellum ( Glock 19) and 12 gauge shotgun shells 。 Ruger also produced revolvers under license from Smith & Wesson during this time period 。 These revolvers were known as “Ruger Constellation” models 。 In addition to its firepower, the Smith & Wesson Model 1836 revolver was also noted for its design – it featured an open style grip with manual safety features and four barrels that allowed it to be carried without being loaded

Butler, Pennsylvania is a small town in Butler County, Pennsylvania. The population was 2,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. Butler was founded in 1795 by George Butler and his wife Sarah Halliday Butler. George Butler's father, James Butler, had also founded a small town in that same county two years earlier. One of the first business establishments in Butler was the old stagecoach stop on the Susquehanna River known as Market Square (now Westmoreland Mall). In 1813, Jameson & Company became one of the first companies to open up western Pennsylvania with their new line from Harrisburg to Pittsburgh. The community grew rapidly due to its location close to both markets and railroads. In 1827, Abraham Lincoln visited Butler on his way from Harrisburg to Pittsburg and commented favorably upon its development. The following year saw another growth spurt when land speculators discovered large tracts of virgin forest near present day State Road 309 and began purchasing properties for development. In 1839-40, many members of Congress came through northeastern Pennsylvania during their annual hunting trips across the Susquehanna River valley; they were met at Market Square by local citizens who presented them with refreshments and gifts before sitting down to dinner at Jno's Tavern on Fourth Street where they enjoyed an excellent meal prepared by Mrs John Witherspoon which still stands today as a >>> popular restaurant.>> A few years later Isaac Noyes patented what would become known as "the spinning wheel". This innovation allowed farmers in nearby towns like Telford and Wilkinsville to sell goods directly to consumers without having to go through middlemen
