Bethlehem is a small, rural town in the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. The population was 7,827 at the 2010 census. As well there are numerous businesses located within walking distance of downtown including Macy’s department store, KFC locations along Route 611 (including both inside outbound lanes on I-570 near 1st Street exit), Sam’s Club warehouse stores along Route 615 east of I-570 (including both inside outbound lanes on I-570 near 3rd Street exit), Subway restaurants located throughout downtown as well as various types of retail outlets such as boutiques/clothiers and convenience stores/. The Historic district encompassing most aspects surrounding Downtown Bethlehem contains over 260 buildings dating back to 1800 AD making it one of America's oldest continuously inhabited neighborhoods preservation districts
